I really wanted to try this out, but I never got around to it that day. Maybe next year, if they come back.

oh good, its gone? now i can get my parking spot back.

i can play call of duty at home rather then seeing the hour plus waits people went through to play a video game as an attempt to sell off ideas to 20 and unders that we should join the army.

i would be glad to offer service to our military, if i was guaranteed not to be put into action, especially this crime of a "war" with iraq

No offense, but anybody would be glad to offer service to the military if their life wasn't in danger.

When one joins the military they dont decide if they serve in battle or what is or isnt a just war, and with that attitude it is much better that people like wishman35 stay in the civilian sector.

I didn't try the game, but if its a "tool" used by the army to recruit they must have made it VERY appealing to join. Did they also give out clip boards for people to register and join the army afterward? I think that the army might give a false sense of what it is really like and try to brainwash the public.

I wonder how many people made the decision to join after playing that simulation?

I respect someones choice to join the army and I respect those serving...especially if its a war that they don't believe in. But I think people should make those choices on there own...instead of recruiting people who cant make that decision by themselves, and then joining and making a mistake.

well i am part of that "everyone" that wont join because of combat, and will be glad to stay in the civilian sector unless it is for a cause that makes more sense. And i know many agree, they just dont admit it. Especially under a leader who is barely supported by a little more then a quarter of the country in numbers.

Its my opinion and there is no need to bash me for it. The poster above hits it on the head, why use video games to try and sway minds. Why should a cool shooting simulation be reason to join the army, to get on one of those real humvees to risk your own life? Sadly some 18+ kids minds think its a great idea to serve the country, i know i had thoughts of joining the armed services at one point too. You should only do it if you genuinely feel like you can be prepared to handle such a commitment. Most definitely not based on some traveling video game simulation by recruiters.

Sorry to have offended anyone, but opinions are a tad sharper in a time where young kids and people my age are being killed in a war that is seemingly endless and proving nothing. Informed or not, its what most of us see

The whole article and experience are a big scam. They make you think its going to be an intereactive experience, but in reality its nothing more then you getting in teh fake humvee, and firing a fake gun with recoil. Their is no interactive game video, as your shooting has NO CONTROL over the screen, which is just a normal video made to look like a video game. At the end you get a random score, and are sent on your way.
