The Boo Line?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby SfGaMownz on July 2nd, 2003, 3:25 pm
I was think and this came to mind so I decided to post it :D. I'm sure alot of people are like me and are mad that the Boo Line was a no show at last years Fright Fest event. I myself complained to Guest Relations, and they said that they had hundreds of complaints for that day alone. I don't see why they took one of their most popular Fright Fest attractions out. If you remember it ws also not present in the year 2000 Fright Fest and returned the next year. I really hope it returns next year, and is better then it has ben in the past years, after its downhill slide starting in 1997. Also, if it comes back they better stop playing games and keeping it for a few years and then taking it away. I know they might have not been able to fit it in the buget last year(or so I've heard) but I want to see it back.

frightfest should be really good for the 2003 season. (unlike last years.) i have a list of some stuff for this year and the boo line isnt on it. There is one thing though....Its scooby doo's haunted train. So there might be something.

The Boo Line is the Scenic Railway(train). I haven't been on it myself, but have heard about it. There are supposed 'scares' during the ride, and I recall some theming around Viper a few years back.

What list? Also, last year during FF did any one see a lady in a dress by Shockwaves entrance? She was acting like a robot and she was good at it. One guy looked up her dress to see if she was real. It was hillarious! lol

Why no BOO Line? Here's why.Remember that Whizzer was supposed to be removed to make way for Superman? The railroad tracks run right past Whizzer, and the VERY large trucks and cranes that would be coming and going were going to be crossing the railroad tracks all the time. Portions of the railroad tracks were going to be removed so they would not be damaged.Well, because of this there were no plans to even have the railroad running past the supposed closing date for Whizzer (late August) So no plans were made for the BOO Line because the train would not be running. By the time that the desicion was made to keep Whizzer, it was WAY too late to come up with a BOO Line theme for the year. So rather than have an attraction that was not open at all, they ran the railroad as normal.Thats what they dont tell ya at GR.Oh and the BOO Line is in the budget for this year. They started planning it before last years FF because they knew it would not be happening in 2002.

They used to go all out I used to look forward to FF, but its been all down hill since around 1998. The Boo Line seems its going to be another let down this year themed to Scooby Doo . Also, it said scare zone on that page, so it looks liek we get to see the ever cool scare zones again this year . Come on SfGaM, I expect more from you.

i remember when i use to go to ff and it didnt matter what part of the park u were in there were a ton of people trying to scare others. it use to be fun to go there and u never knew what was going to happen when u turned. but when i went last year i was disapointed that there were all these scare free zones. and if they are trying to make it kid friendly they have there kid areas and plus parents should know before hand. so hopefully this years fright fest will be back to normal and like it was before.

The Scooby Doo Mystery Train sounds better than Pigman. Pigman was so stupid  . They should have just run the regular train.

This is just a guess but I'm guessing that parents complained that Fright Fest was too scary for their kids. I liked it WAY better when they had people all around trying to scare you. County Fair and Home Town Square used to have alot of good scares. I remember Chucky banging on garbage cans scaring people the chainsaw man. Those were the good days...
