Batmans Queue Lines

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

After riding Roaring Rapids I noticed that there were some T.V's behind a a shop in Orleans Place, so I checked it out and discovered that it was a part of Batmans line. Back when it was new and in it's golden age damn that thing must of had a long line! First it started behind the shop in Orleans palce then it went over the a bridge to Yankee Harbor, then by ERC's line then to the normal GCPW switch back.Do any of you remember when it was that long? If you have, how long was the wait? And finally, what was the longest you have seen Batmans line? The longest I have ever seen it was in the GCPW switch back.

The longest I've waited are the GCPW switchbacks. When it was new, I was a small oblivous child who didn't look close at anything, so I never noticed if the line went to Orleans Place. In fact, I didn't know that part of the line existed until probably around when Viper was built. So, I may have seen the line when it was that long, just never noticed it.

Yeah, I remember waiting in the GCPW switchs... Yikes, that gets to be a long line. I don't think I'd ever ride it if it were that long again...

I remember my first rides on Batman back in August of 2000. The line filled up the GCPW switchbacks. After my first ride on it I didn't care how long rhe line was, I just wanted to keep riding it. I probably would still ride it if the line was that long, but I've got my fastlane passes...

I still dont really understand what you mean about this line. I know that there are the weaving lines to the right of where you would enter the Gotham City part and I know it starts behind one of the shops. But what are you talking about w/the bridge and ERC line?Could someone explain this!

Ride East River Crawler the next time you go to the park and while in line look to the left and there is a queue line for batman then when you get close to the ride where the gate opens to get to the ride you will notice a bridge and T.Vs...

Yeah, I believe the line extends all the way back before you cross the covered bridge into Yankee Harbor. There is a Batman Sign there, but the place is fenced up by the entrance

The longest I've waited for Batman was in August 1999. We waited throughout all of the GCPW switchbacks.Back in 1992, my brother's girlfriend waited 3 hours to ride Batman!! She said the line went all the way to where Power Dive used to be. I would never wait that long to ride Batman (it's too short for a 3 hour wait).

I have waited in those lines!!! Back when the ride opened in 1992, I waited about three hours for it. The line began near the area where the Power Dive was located. It went back behind Cajun Cliffhanger and East River Crawler. It then connected to the current line area. It was nutz!

I would have waited the 3 hours. It was something totally new. I bet it blew a lot of other rides away.

Even in 1994 and 1995 it was 2 1/2 hour wait, i remeber those lines i was eight and nine those years and the line seemed to go no where and then when i finally went on it was awesome. It was my first 54" taller roller coaster, 1993 i was too small

Batman was something new for all coasters. It changed the way of building coasters.

When Batman first opened, it was a BIG, BIG deal. No other coaster of its kind existed in the world. My first ride on it in 1992, I waited an insane 4 hours for it.I mean, come on, you have heard of people waiting 5,6,7,8,9 hours to get on TTD. That ride is even shorter.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
