Superman is a brand new ride and has been in operation for little over a month now so you would think it would run preety smoothly but today a freind who went to the park told me it was closed today because it broke. does anyone else know about this.By the way im new here so hello everybody.

Hi. Welcome to the boards :)I'm sure that Superman will be full operational tomorrow. It was probably a minor problem, but large enough to where they had to close it down for a day.

Its a new ride, its sure to have its problems. Its problems aren't half as bad as V2 or Deja Vu's during there opening year, or Cedar Points, Top Thrill Dragsters this year.If your thinking because it's new it should work perfect, your wrong. Usually with Rollercoasters its the opposite and they take a little time before they are working properly.

Welcome to the forums. You shouldn't worry about the breakdown, it's a new ride and I'm guessing that it was a just a minor problem.

I just got back from SFGAm. I am not superstitious, but our group decided to go on S:UF first thing(my original plan was to get the first train on Viper). At around 10:05, the entrace to Superman opens, and we're off to take our flight soon after. When we passed by Superman at around 3pm, we did notice it was down. A Superman-op stated that Superman would not be opening anytime soon..and suggested riders go on other rides. However, on our way out at around 8pm, Superman was up and running again.

i know when i was at SF 2 weeks ago, one of supermans trains was having problems...it would go into the full flying position so they had to take that one off.....maybe the same thing happened and they had to reset the ride like they do with v2 once in a while:wink:

yeah i was there when it happened. on may 30th the people in the train station were "stuck" in flying mode, at least that was what i thought i was down below in line, then the people who just were just on the ride they were left there hanging behind them. they were stuck for about 15 minutes, then they ran two test runs and after they ran a few more rides it then wouldn't go into flying position but they fixed that quickly. then i got on and it ran fine, so there is probably no major problems with it, just reguarly problems all roller coasters could have.

Wow thats a bad run on. And I like the general "broke" word that everyone likes to use. :roll:New rides have issus. Bull had issues, Batman had issues, and Vu has MAJOR issues. Just becuase a ride is a clone does not mean that it won't have downtimes. Everyone (maint. included) is still learning how the ride works.Welcome to the boards coastersrmylife. Don't mind me. Please don't be offended.

I am glad B&M made their roller coasters so user friendly and easy to use. Or maybe people are just that skilled and make it look easy. Anyway i am hoping that it doesn't break on the 17th because that is when i am going!! YEAH I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!

You need to understand that S:UF is not a complete clone of S:UF at georgia. There have been some modifications to some of the turns and the trains. that could be one reason why it may not be operating all the time. Also with any new roller coaster there is always a break in period for the ride and crew. So be patient and wait it should be running about 90% of the time by august.
well ok if you think you are ready ASSUME THE POSITION!The flying position that isSuperman:Ultimate Flight

i was walking past superman b4 the opening someday in may and it broke down. it was around 9:30AM. it was open by 10:45AM. And all the superman ultimate flights have been having problems. no big problems that will cause a long closure.

I have noticed that latly the ride has been operating very well. Mostly do to the mad skills of Jack the ride op. It hasn't had a break down while i have been waiting for it in a while. Viva la operation. Mabey Deja Vu could take a lesson or two from S:UF

Which guy is Jeff?I think its running great too. the problems are ususally minor and the breakdons are usually no more than 15 min. Compared to Deja Vu Superman seems to be running flawless. :)

Also because of the mad skills of Kyle the ride op. Anything compared to Deja Vu is running flawlessly.
