Old Movie's?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I remember when I was little SFGAm used to play a movie about the making of Great America, it was in line for The Great America Raceway and Splash Water falls. I remember it showing them making the trolley or railroad or something and other things. Since I haven't went on those rides in a while I was wondering, do they still play this movie?

I think, but I'm not sure it featured Mr. Marriot himself.

I don't know about Great America Raceway's queue, but I haven't seen the movie you're referring to while in queue for Splashwater Falls this past season.

No they don't play it anymore. All of the televisions in the lines at the park are all on one central system. Anything you see on a tv is playing at the same time at the other side of the park. The exception is the employee break area where you see the same programming except the commercials are replaced with park info for the employees.

I love how they use their televisions. There are about 2 tvs in every line at SFWoA and they all are broken or have cobwebs in them. They really need to do something about that.

I don't even watch the TV's in line anymore, everytime I look at them they are playing commercials. They use to play HBO stand up comedy and lots of cartoons on it most the time, now they rarely play anything worth watching.

Yeah, the only times the queue line TVs are good is at night when you're by yourself... That's really the only time you can watch them, because in the daytime the sun usually prevents you from even seeing the televisions.
