Yankee Harbor

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby HiSpAnOwAy on August 2nd, 2004, 1:28 pm
I didnt like the topics so I made this one. When you first go to Yankee Harbor do you notice it as being it actually a harbor or a Batman theme area. When Batman the ride opened were all those stores there? I was young when I went so I dont remember. But if you would have to do something to Yanke Harbor what would you do?

Yankee Harbor's fine, from Batman arcade straight across to the overflow queue is B:TR territory, the rest is all nicely themed.

....or at least that's the way I look at it.

I liked the Batman store better than the arcade though. When Superman came, they moved quite a bit of stuff over there.

Yeah the arcade looks cheap now they should redo that store the way it opened. It will be better. And if SFGAm lowered their prices a little bit like 1 dollar for coke instead of 350 etc. it will be more stuff being sold and bring the balloons back for .99!

I think Yankee Harbor looks good. I wish the brige that connected Orleans Place to Yankee Harbor was still there but it got taken out because of Ragin Cajun.

I wish I had the memory of Tidal Wave from when I was younger. I would love to see (from the midway) how it looked in the area.

Yeah $3.50 for a bottle of coke that you could get for $1.00 at a gas station or 7/11. I have never seen anyone buy a bottle from the vending machines at six flags.

There are going to be a lot of Ice Mountain machines in the park because there are like 15 in back of the area by the SWT show. I don't remember IM machines before being in the park.

That's what I originally thought but I read 350 from HiSpAnOwAy's post so I changed it.

Interesting to note...

$3.00 is the maximum setting on the bill/coin computer inside those Vendo Soda machines...

Whenever I get thirsty I will always have my trusty Mardi Gras Souvenir cup that I found sitting by a ride, and I get refills for $1.06. So pretty much I got a 7 dollar cup for free, and washed it out in the bathroom and then got $1.06 refills for the rest of the season!

LMAO. I washed it though, I cleaned it very good. The doritos story is funny. My friend tried to get me to take a completely closed full bag of popcorn out of the garbage can when we went to see that Espana Extreme show. I didnt because that is disgusting.

Na they should put it up near V2's queve in the water next to the bridge between V2's queve and yukon territory.

Are you a freakin new-born? My daughter called me da-da when she was like 6 months old.

Speaking of unsanitary and disgusting things...

Once my friend and I found a bag of popcorn that was on the ground of the Iron Wolf platform... and dared each other to eat some...

... yea I was pretty stupid when I was that young.

Oh and the bottle thing, back when Raging Bull was brand new and there were Raging Bull bottles everywhere, my friend and I thought it would be... neat(?) to collect as many as we could find.... i think we had like 24 or something. The part I remember most vividly was seeing my friend behind me holding like... 15 of them (who had red hair and a horrid lisp)... this girl walks up to him and in the most sarcastic tone she says "Oh cool cool!" then I turn back to my friend, clearly seeing that he did not pick up on the sarcasm, and he just throws his head back with a huge smile and says "Thanks!" ... lisp and all.

... now that I think about it, I really was a stupid kid. At least we never did things to really piss other people off, we just did self damage/harmful things :)

If you mean a line like where people wait in, V2 already has a bridge that extends down to Yukon Territorry and back.

Or did you mean a line for the lighthouse? If that is what you meant, than all I need to say is that the lighthouse was not a ride and I'm pretty sure that the lighthouse will not be re-built.(If it is still even buildable)

I'm totally confused about the line and the lighthouse. The only way I can understand this is putting the lighthouse (which won't happen) to the left of V2's queue that's on the bridge.

If you guys are talking about this, I believe the bridge that you used to walk on from Roaring Rapids is gone.
