NEW FOR 2005!!!!

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby SFGAmfreak4life on April 20th, 2003, 11:43 pm
I know I'm getting ahead of myself here but what do you think we will get in 2005. I think we will get something big because S:UF is going to be a huge hit and the park will make a lot of money off of it in the next two years. Since there are only two flying rollercoasters in the midwest I think it will attract a lot of people to the park. Also another component is that it is made by B&M it is guaranteed to be smooth. The other flying coaster is at SFWoA and it is made by Vekoma and rides made by them are usually kind of rough. I have insider information about the park because a two of my friends work at the park. My one friend is in the maintenence department and he is told all the facts about the park. He even gets told what the new rides will be and other stuff like that. I just want your opinions on this subject. So type away.

I think they will give us something good. Superman:UF is gonna be one of the best coasters they got there. Who knows maybe the next ride we get might not be a coaster. Maybe it will be something never seen before. Well im looking forward to ride S:UF this season. Getting my pass soon! :D Im sure whatever we get in 2005 will be great as always.Sincerely, CoasterCrazy111

Just a reminder about what may be in store for 2005. Has anyone noticed that one of the parks thrill rides is missing? Yes, that's right. If you haven't noticed yet, POWERDIVE, has been removed. The began deconstructing it near the end of the 2001 season. It was completely gone in the 2002 season. All that was left was the sign that said powerdive. So maybe what they have in store for 2005 will be something small. But it probably will be great

I think we'll see the removal of Ice Mt. because I hear it isn't open that much and they will put a more reliable coaster in and see what else they can do. But right now, 2005 is too far away so we shouldn't worry about it!

I also think that the Whizzer's day are very short. I think the Whizzer will come down and some type of mega looper will be placed there. I mean the most inversions on one ride now is Batman (5) We need a ride with at least 7, maybe 8. I'm hopeing for B&M #5! Hey I can dream...

Me again, I have just confirmed that the POWERDIVE is officially gone. It is no longer listed under Rides/Attractions on the official site. So we may possibly see a mega thrill ride. Maybe it will be something similar to the Texas Tornado at Six Flags Over Texas. Anyone else have any ideas of what it may be?

The area where the Power Dive was is pretty small. If they are planning on building a new type of thrill ride then they will need more space. Unless they are going to tear down that game booth and some of that eating area then they could possibly put a thrill ride there.

medusa clone. Maybe Scream 2. LOL...j/k. Im hoping for a nice compact spagetti (spelling?) bowl type of coaster with lots of loops. Chances are, Six Flags will make a new ride and clone it 3 times, and GAm will get 1 of the three.

I hope they get a floorless coaster or a sit-down like Kumba. Either one would be cool, but a floorless would be cooler. I have a feeling they're gonna get a floorless for some reason.

Settle down there boy. We already have a 2004 topic. Worse yet, none of you have been on the new ride, and you're so impatient and spolied you want to talk about 2004, and 2005!? Please, if thats all you worry about (ride in the future), get another hobby to help with the time you waste worrying about frivolous subjects such as whats new on April 21, 2058 at SFGAm.
