American Eagle Restraints

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I was just wondering what year the Eagle's single position lap bars were replaced. Also, did the height requirement change at all?
Thanks,
Whizzer

don't remember but i sure do hate the current lap bar eagle and viper share. the bar on the side always leaves me bruised and/or sore from being bounced around on eagle on that side of my leg next to the bar. IMHO Raging Bull is the perfect restraint for a non looping coaster. Goliaths are very nice for going upside down without need of a shoulder harness.

If I were to guess it would be 1990 as Screaming Eagle's trains at SFStL were replaced as well.

Eagle's trains are original to the ride, no idea what year they replaced the lapbars but it was not to long after it opened. They put in their home made lapbars, and up until recently the home made grab bar that served to cover up the large holes left by the Buzz Bars, now the holes are simply covered up with diamond plate circles.
