What's your take? Personally I view the current Flash Pass system at the Six Flags parks to be very complicated and far more difficult than it should be, kind of like the United States tax code, lol. Instead of having these buzzer type devices that make you feel like your waiting for a table at Red Lobster, with different levels, I think a $100.00 (Possibly less) pass that is sold in limited amounts (Enough to make profit but not cause huge delays in lines) and unlimited skip the line rides for they day Would be a far better system than what is in place today. Simillar to how the Cedar Fair Parks are.
^Define what exactly is "complicated" and "far more difficult".....I've used Flash Pass many times (during FF in particular) and it's pretty straightforward to me.
Not to mention the entire Lo-Q system is provided by an outside company that has contracted with the chain. While I'm not sure how far out they have agreed to provide service, I'd be willing to bet it's here to stay for quite a while.

I'm fine with the current system... The different price levels let them target different parts of the public and get some extra cash out of them... They hurt themselves by going to just one version of the Flash Pass... Plus, I'm sure that SF wants to be different/unique when compared to Cedar Fair...
I completely disagree. The timing system that six flags parks have in place is far more effecient than what cedar fair parks have. When I was at cedar point I had to wait the same amount of time for Magnum as the regular line did. I think what six flags parks have is the best system other than the new disney system.
"Everyone, listen to me! These jerks killed Superboy. They've tried to kill us. Now they say they're going to tear this city apart. I say... like hell."

Well disney is disney. They have to serve at least 20,000 a day on low days. They normally serve 40,000 to 55,000on average for MK. The others are like 30,000-40,000 on average. In peak it is even more. Six flags had nowhere near that. Disney has to accomodate more people. And disney makes it free. I think because many people barely afford a vacation there. And would no way be able to afford more for less waits. Thats why disney is so good

What I mean is switching to either a wrist band or a pass and not having to leave your ID there or take that device with you. Just 1 price, and unlimited front of the line access for the entire day. If you guys remember, they used to have the fast pass which was a small piece of paper for $20 where you could ride up to 4 rides with that. It would be simmilar to that only more expensive, and cover all fast pass rides, and unlimited for the day.

Exactly. The Cedar Fair version is not great. Yes it was nice that I was able to just walk up to a ride and get in line without reserving a time, but when I still had to wait 30, 45, 60 minutes for some rides, there's nothing fast about it. It's not fast lane, just faster lane. The qbot system is not difficult at all and is definitely the best of the skip the line systems that I've used.
The only change I could ever see them making is switching over completely to the wristband system (what Hurricane Harbor uses) like Six Flags America did a few years ago.

How does the wristband system differ? Can you still do other things while you are "virtually" waiting in line like you can with the current system?
^ The wristband is basically like a watch. Instead of reserving on the device itself, you go to little kiosks to select the ride you want. The wristband then has a timer that counts down to when you can go to the ride. It was designed for waterparks so I'm not really sure why Six Flags America brought it into the whole park as having to go to a kiosk to reserve a ride seems like a disadvantage.
I second the person who said people can barely afford a Disney vacation I have been pricing my dream fantasy Disney vacation since I was a little kid 13,000 but its for 2 weeks with 3 people, So far I have saved up.... nothing something always comes up and I end up 15 spaces behind where I was. I think the Six Flags FP should most definately be a wristband instead of the pager thing they have now, because during a pretty good rainstorm mine broke off and someone took it, also you have it water repellant not water tight or water resistant pretty stupid when you have water rides on the system. I also think that they should do away with HH's FP Its a water park they have worse lines than Amusement Parks (save Disney). That would just piss me off even more waiting in line getting sprayed with water only to have a group of snotty little SOB's jump ahead of me when It should basically be my turn

See, I disagree with you on the HH one (though I agree with the feeing of people jumping ahead of you when it's your turn). My girlfriend and I have gotten the HH FP the last 2 times we have been there, and it was a total time saver, especially for the drop slides. I think it's affordable too. I would say we would have been able to hit every slide at least twice (maybe some 3) in two hours.
