Goliath Documentary Suggestions

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby kossdude1 on January 28th, 2014, 1:08 am
As most of you may know by now, I'm working on a documentary about Goliath. The production will feature many different points about how this ride came about. From interviews to on ride and off ride footage, Iron Wolf and Z-Forces previous glory to SFGAms history with woodies, the documentary will be about 18-22 minutes long and will be released about the last week of June. The official name for this production will be Goliath: Documenting A Giant.

Now, the reason for this topic is that I ask you "forumers" about what you'd like to see in the film. If you have a clip or two you'd like me to feature in the film, personal message me. I'm open to any suggestions, and contributors will be the first to see the finished product.

Please note that i'm still strongly in the pre-production phase of this documentary, and things will change as time goes on. I ask way in advance for suggestions and contributions so I can plan accordingly and consult with my production crew on what's all going on.

If you haven't seen the announcement for this documentary, that can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjjIHP7nlrQ

Another video stating it's official can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szuF59b8-rE

Stuff on this ride and SFGAm is great but Id also do RMC history stuff and the history of wooden coaster innovations, specifically inversions.

I am looking forward to seeing this. I would say that I would like to see why they went with topper track rather than steel with wod supports. Officially what kind of coaster it is (this way all of the confusion among the forums is dead). Why didnJt they just get rid of the Wilderness theater to make more rom for the ride? I would even like to see it start maybe blacked out with sky trek tower's music and program then slowly fading into the view from the top of STT. Ie "New this year GOLIATH (whatever they are going to say about it)" and maybe the walk there from STT. Time lapse construction is a must. Maybe interviews with first riders as well as first time coaster riders period. Sneak peek of what they will be doing in the area for FF. I know its not related but maybe a teaser for what will be going into RC's vacant spot. If this proves to be a highly successful ride, will Six Flags convert AE?

DOCUMENTARY UPDATE

Everything originally planned will be in the documentary (interviews, b-roll, wooden coaster history at SFGAm, location history, etc.)

The only big change is the date the production will be finished. The original release date was projected to be last week of June. However, due to the delay in Media Day, the documentary will not be officially released until mid-July. However, I will have a trailer for the documentary released on YouTube on the original week of release.

Thank you for your support!
