As a teenager who loves the history of anything, especially my favorite theme parks, I love these kinds of things. I think it's really important to show customers how the park came about.
"Everyone, listen to me! These jerks killed Superboy. They've tried to kill us. Now they say they're going to tear this city apart. I say... like hell."

^I think there are positive and negative connotations with this type of stuff. I can remember for instance Kiddieland's Polyp, and how much I really liked that ride, but yet what am I going to do about it. The ride is in Georgia, and it's not coming back to this area. Remembering the great rides (and some NOT so great) that have come and gone doesn't really help anything at all, but you just wish they would come back, but sorry to say they aren't coming back. Personally, I would want Deja Vu, Hay Bailer, Sky Whirl, Rolling Thunder, and Iron Wolf to come back, but they just aren't going to come back. Of course, the 3 coasters are at other parks, and I can visit those other parks, but they are far away (Silverwood, Great Escape, and Six Flags America)
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"

The sad truth: I probably know all this before I even see the info in the video

I just noticed these videos and much, to my surprise, much of the footage found in the 1976 video is footage my family took on film. I transferred it to VHS and gave PR a copy of it back when Superman opened. I thought they probably tossed the tape! I'm glad they kept it and shared it.

Now I need to find my own VHS copy and get it transferred to DVD! :)
