Crowds the Friday before Labor Day...?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Planning on driving from Grand Rapids, MI to go to the park on the Friday before Labor Day. I know this day usually has small crowds at CP as most of the kids in Ohio are back at school already. I know MI actually has a state law that schools cant resume until after Labor Day....just wondering if anyone has gone to SFGA on this day and what their experience was like.

You're going to need to reschedule your trip. Six Flags Great America is not open on the Friday before Labor Day.

The way Six Flags is, they probably have a private party at the park.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"

Well if anyone decides to go at all this up coming weekend, I can tell you its gonna be crowded, especially monday. I went to SFGAm on a labor day a few years ago and it was insanely crowded, it felt like a weekend in July!! Average wait times were over an hour... Just....if anyone wants to go monday, labor day be my guest, you will regret it.
