I have personal photos of the Power Dive. I even have a few while hanging upside down aboard the ride. I'd be happy to scan some of them for you if you'd like. That was one of my favorite rides at GA! I miss it.

I don't even remember where it was. When I was younger and they had it, all I concentrated on was coasters. Where was it?

It was to the right of the Orleans Gazebo and the New Orleans Grill.

It closed around mid-2001 and was taken out in May 2002. As of November 2nd 2003 the station still stands.

Around last year, I didn't care about anything besides coasters, so I didn't pay attention to it I guess.

Man that is like the best site ever with all of those old pics. I was looking at the B:TR pics on that site and if they kept the little platform or whatever you call that thing that the Batmobile sat on in 1998, then Gotham City Park would look so much nicer, and our B:TR would look as nice as other Six Flags parks B:TR's.

I think our B:TR is one of the best if not the best looking ones out there. Other parks have theres in a Batman themed area so theres on the outside might look better. But, inside the queeu and stuff ours is probably the best becuase ours was the first and they put alot of effort into it.

Am I the only on that never felt pain on Power Dive. I miss it so much and really hope that whatever replaces it is worth that spot. The "air time" on Power Dive was great and I really didn't mind the restraints. It is a shame the ride had to be torn out due to $$$$$. Two of my favorite rides to watch and ride are gone. Shockwave and Power Diver were great rides to watch and listen to people scream

I think body proportions have to do with pain on looping starships. Maybe not though. But the last time I rode Power Dive was probably 1996 or 1997. I got sick of it because it hurt. In 2002, I went on Pheonix at BGT. The only difference was the theme and it didnt have seat belts. I felt fine, and I was probably 8 inches to a foot taller. I think if you're over 5'10 or so, it was fine.

I personally loved the Power Dive and never really felt any pain. The only part that hurt was when the bar comes down and applies pressure to your legs before the ride begins. It was kinda fun though because everyone would scream and then laugh before the ride even started moving. Also, when it would lock upside the blood would rush to my head, but nothing too uncomfortable, just fun!!!! I think girls have a harder time on that ride because of the boob thing. I know my girlfriend complained about that. Anyway, I WISH IT WAS STILL THERE!!!!
