Okay, now I frankly think this is SO much better than Chang. I mean come on all you coaster freakazoids, admit it. This does look either equal or a little better than Chang. We are getting the construction that Chang is getting maybe at a little less cost. But seriously, I know I was begging for a coaster, but now I really think I will be spending ALL my time in HH and RPB! Even if you don't think it's equal, admit it. It is gonna be pretty awesome. Oh also,
NO FLAMING it's not nice
By the way my question still stands. How will the public get to the top of a 130 foot near vertical water slide structure? An elevator? Any ideas???? ALSO, Nobody seems to be realizing (too much sulking in their sadness about Chang or madness at GAdv) that this water slide is taller than Superman. It will most likely be like Summit Plummit in Disney World LOVE IT!
Last Visit, American Eagle BACKWARDS 5 times in a row right before the park closed. I cannot WAIT to go back for Fright Fest!
A great plot of land goes to... Hmm. Wow. Well is it disappointing? Yes. BUT it'll be a good addition to the waterpark. I can't see on mobile on the official site so ill ask here: is there any concept art online? & we don't have stats on the plunge slide do we?

From what I read over at TPR there is a difference of opinion as to what was actually said. Sombody said that they heard him say that the dry park wasn't in need of any more water rides.
Probably another case of enthusiasts only hearing what they want to hear.
This is a great addition to the park and will most definitely people into the park. It may not be a coaster but people n the park spend money, and a company that has money is more likely to spend more on park improvements and additional attractions. I can't wait to check it out next year.

Okay, did I say no flaming? I think so. And you were right I did listen to too many people about the 130ft drop side. But, the drop slide is real. So no calling me out yet. Kay? Also, my opinion on how awesome this is is different than yours. I think it was worth Chang. Oh crap I shouldn't have said that.

Duh probably a chair lift or chair lift to a point then stairs the rest of the way, I doubt that they would have an elevator with wet people getting in and out of it thats a lawsuit waiting to happen. Besides stupid the carpet in the elevator would never dry and a tile etc floor would cause major slipping.
There is no 130 ft slide that has been confirmed, as 3 people said above you......
EDIT: I see you were trying to quote someone and messed up, but still the discussion of how people would get to the top of it is basically pointless at this time.

I'll give you the low capacity for the "surf simulator" but no one knows anything about the other attractions besides what is depicted on the graphic....so to say they are low capacity without actually knowing is kind of like putting the cart before the horse.
And again, let's be thankful there is some kind of addition no matter what it is. SFA is once again on the losing streak of anything major (and while they did get Thomas Town.....it really didn't pull in the crowds to the extent a water park expansion like this would)
Awesome! I hope there's something very thrilling in Rip Tide Bay for people who like to get extreme thrills. 130ft. Water slide? maybe it will be more like a 115ft. water slide?
I think this has been lost in the hoopla or should I say complaining of the water park expansion,
The waterpark after this expansion is complete. Its done. So you can pretty much guarantee from now on that any additions that SFGAm adds with be on the theme park side of the park.
Also we are forgetting a big thing here. The more money pulled in by the waterpark, the greater the chances the theme park side will be able to get a major attraction in the coming years. I for one (even though I have only used the waterpark twice since 2005) Like this addition, and think that we all should be happy about this.

I hope you're right, but there are no guarantees with six Flags.
People thought we are getting a 130 foot water slide because we all thought at first that it was going to be only ONE attraction and instead it turned out to be a 130,000 sq foot (We could see the 130, but not the rest of it.) area that had other slides / stuff in it. That's why. The vertical slide isn't going to be 130 foot!! And what's an activity pool? Well, it's pool that might have basketball hoops, and leapfrog type of things you jump on top of one of each.
I think this surfing thing sounds kind of like an injury nightmare (Sure the stuff is padded, but I just don't know about that.), and having basketballs in a pool isn't the greatest idea either. There were these people in a pool hotel, and they were hitting other people with other balls instead of aiming at the basketball nets.
And who says the waterpark can't be expanded anymore? They still don't have a water coaster!! They could eventually add another wavepool. We have a Lazy River, but they could add that one river in which you go really fast through the whole thing even. We don't have that Aqua Loop that Noah's Ark has.

Whose to say the waterpark expansion is complete? They still don't have a water coaster and there's plenty of parking lot to expand into.
The addition of a couple of low capacity water slides doesn't make me happy, and I'm surprised it makes you happy as you've been the catalyst for wanting a high capacity ride on the dry side. Now a large space in which to put on is taken up by a water park expansion that not many were asking for.
