u r right there were TWO one was greenish by the SUF gate and one was dropped off with the staircase but he was saying that BLUE pipe...He really had to say that he can't confirm a ride himself and Chang will most likely be confirmed for the park no earlier than August/September.

Note that he said "...Pipe spotted in the employee parking lot" That's not near SUF.

I think the one support was placed there to hint at Chang. Why else would the only support there say "Local Ironworkers KY"?

No park EVER wants to leak information about a large attraction before they need to. I think Daemon should have just kept his mouth shut and said that We're keeping Chang in storage until it is moved to another Six Flags Property.

If the park gets it then he'd have been lying to us.

^Spin does not equal BS. They are only able to release information they are told they can. Lying can and will come back to haunt a park.

I say we should make this haunt them. I'm 106% sure there was never a water main break at Great America this offseason.

If he said the flumes needed a replacement pipe, then he could easily have said that, to cover himself. The person who asked the question should have said "Long Blue Support" rather than "Big Blue Pipe".

David, just face the facts. Great America Hasn't announced anything, and they won't be for a long time now. All Theme Parks are secretive, it's just the way of the business.

Can any company constitute lying as an "OK" thing? If Great America wants to lie to us, then I'm not playing their charades.

^ Seriously, ENOUGH. The whole water main response was meant as a JOKE. If you can't get a joke, that is no one's fault but your own

onyxhotel08 wrote:The earlier post had the picture taken from far away. I did not realize it was simply a close-up. It is still rather odd only 1 support has been spotted. Why wouldn't the supports be kept together? Like the track is?

I think the reason for the one support is because maybe they figure there are always people that are going to take pictures of stuff like this, and it will get people thinking more, and get them more excited about this ride without giving it all away. Hey, there is one support here, but it might yet SFGAm might not get Chang.

The other theory is they only had room for one support and stairs when the train came in.

Wouldn't it funny if SFGAm doesn't even get Chang at all, and all we get Chang trains for Iron Wolf, and a Waterpark Expansion.

There used to be a water pipe thing before, and someone said it was from a show set. I saw, and what someone said it was from. Could someone again be tricking people, and just write that stuff on it (from the park)?- Local Iron Worker KY. What does that drawing even mean? Wouldn't that support have a number or something of where to put it - not a drawing.

Agreed with DejaVu2001....No matter what theme park you go to. They're always going to "lie" Why spoil the surprise more than a year ahead of it's time!?

Why exactly would an iron worker be drawing part of the layout of the ride on one of the supports (if it even is one)?

Possibly to show where the support came from on the ride? You know, as a reference.

Generally the placement number on the support will provide that info.

It's probably just a doodle.

Seriously, 36 pages of comments about 2 and a half photos? Water mains do break, we have a lot of water rides that have been around since the 70's. im pretty sure in almost 40 year old pipes do go out.

And about the pipe it clearly says Local XXX kentucky ironworkers or whatever the crap it says. Heres a hint, if you work union, you're in a local. I'm local 705, look under neath the top of the snow, you can clearly see more ink under there. It's the local of the union.

About that "mysterious doodle", ITS CLEARLY JUST AN EMBELLISHMENT TO THE SIGNATURE. Go look on the constitution or any historical documents. Seriously people yes we're all excited about getting a new coaster but this is just freakin ridiculous.

You're right!

- When there are other parts of Chang at Great America, it's just a main pipe. Of cource the smartest type of pipe to use is a Stand-Up Coaster support, one specially for Chang, the ride removed this year, that just happens to STILL be sitting in our parking lot, If a main broke, it wouldn't happen in November.

/end rant

If A Main were to break it would be more likely in November since the temperatures are dropping. Constantly going from Warm to Cold Each year is what puts so much strain on the Pipes.
