i bet within a month all the track is up and they will be waiting for trains. With memorial day the opening weekend for it... they are a month out... x-flight was pretty much at this stage on construction for the time frame and it is a new coaster un tested.
Doesn't look like they intend on repainting the supports as I assume they would have done that prior to vertical construction.....unless they just repainted them the same colors, which looks awkward with the grey and yellow/orange track.
Stuff never changed here, at SFGAm IW needed a paint job literally within 2 years of receiving one. Now it needs one at SFA even though it was painted within the past 3 months!

They could be just waiting till the track is done and assembled to paint the supports. Afterall, the supports could be possibly easier to paint up them on the ground I'd imagine, if only for that they aren't that tall.
It would be a shame to have a brand new black and orange paint job, and then have maroon supports.
Maybe from that big version of the photo, someone with a CRT monitor can confirm. LCD screens that have become so prevalent have real trouble showing black exactly right.

There's definitely red still in there. As said earlier, it might be easy to paint while up. Hopefully there won't be little black spots everywhere, ala Raging Bull

^ I think he is referring to the pillar footers they do look pretty ridiculous. I guess I never knew how fitted to the terrain Iron Wolf was until you see it on another plot of land.

If Six Flags is trying to save money by not painting the supports they may have just created the world's ugliest color scheme. Mom always said never mix black with brown, especially when electric orange is involved.

No, no. I was referring to the concrete jungle that was just posted. I really didn't imagine Iron Wolf being as terrain hugging as it was back at SFGAM, but it seriously looks bad.
Let's give them the benefit of the doubt here, it is very possible that they will add dirt and sod after the ride is complete to cover up all those tall footer supports.
Not saying I heard something but if it was really that hugging to the ground, that would be what I would do, unless you are making an industrial looking post-apocalyptic ride ala Swarm...
they they put dirt up around those footers it will look even sillier. Plus it'd completely bury that support that's already planted on that short footer, which as SFGAm can attest to, that's a horrible course of action
Pretty sure what we see is what they get. Though there are ways to make a situation like this look tasteful, or at least have it be less noticed like here at SFKK, not sure what kind of success SFA would have though.....

Yeah, most likely will be for a while. Since the station was used before Iron Wolf even came to the park, I think it is ridiculous to re-use it again for anything in the future. That area would look so much better without an old random and utterly useless station house standing there reminding people of a very unpopular ride that brought that area down.
Depending on what ride goes in the spot next, the Iron Wolf/ZForce station could be useful. The station can easily be used for a floorless, sit down or Eurofighter coaster quite easily amongst other rides. Other than that station being way high up in the air to accommodate Z Force's vertical transfer track setup, it can accommodate quite a few different ride types, and any manufacturer can design around that. Why pay money to tear it down, and then build a new one, when a perfectly good one already exists?
