The purple on the American Eagle is probably just a hint to next year. The teasers on the Youtube and Twitter are themed to super hero's. Last year Six Flags Fiesta Texas hid hints around the park about the Gotham City. I think the American Eagle is being used the same way. If American Eagle were to be redone it would have closed by now because it will take a long time to redo it. Its the longest wooden racing coaster. Its longer the Colossus which closed on August 16th 2014. The only work seen in the park so far is in the Southwest Amphitheater. I think it will be a dark ride because the SWA is the right amount of space and it is rarely used.
Out of curiosity...... What happened with that height variance that was supposed to be for a cell phone tower? Did that meeting already happen? Did anyone go to it?

Well Screamscape has been sent emails from SFFT saying a major attraction will meet it's demise. Their teasers point towards the Boardwalk and Poltergeist is pretty close to it. Wouldn't be surprised if it's up for the ride rotation program.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)
I am still not seeing how it fits there with that long launch/brake run, and I am trying hard to make it fit in my mind! Of course, I never envisioned a coaster the size of X-Flight in the old Splashwater Falls area either. What about the Pictorium area?
Out of all of the predictions, this one is my favorite and is also the one I'm hoping for. I went on FoF at KI and I actually enjoyed it, I hear the six flags versions are better. This is what we need at our park.
Superman would have been such a better coaster in Whizzer's spot. But public outcry saved it. A flying coaster over the water and the hilly terrain there would be awesome. Especially if they were to.keep all the trees as well.

Perhaps. But sacrificing Whizzer for better views on Superman would have been an absolute travesty. From a family perspective, there's no other coaster in the park that is family friendly but also isn't just a kiddie coaster, and it's hard to imagine what else they would have been able to later fix the problem with. I know the Whizzer is always a highlight for my kids, and if it hadn't been there it may have really changed our love of the park.
What is happening here? This is making my head numb reading this BS. SFGAm getting an old launched coaster after building two world class coasters no one else has or has received in the entire chain?! Besides saving Little Dipper, when was the last time Great America received a used coaster? Oh wait - They haven't. Every coaster we have or have had in the entire history of the park, has been made for the park or brand new regardless of being a clone.
The park & chain are both well aware they deserve better than that. Sadly, many of our rides have been relocated to other parks, yes. But they're always smaller parks. That's why I was shocked that we almost got Chang (God we didn't cause we got XF the following year after a great water park expansion) but even more shocked it went to SFGAdv when a park like SFStl would have benefited from it much more.
Whatever it is for 2016 will not make everyone happy but I'm more than positive that it will be something we need. I may not agree with that ugly ass tent in the way, but the three "new" flats we got this season are being well received with the GP & it's nice to see that area being used for families. I still say add a kiddie coaster in the area with another kids flat where SkyTrail was. Why not? It's not about us all the time. When it is, that's a bonus & we're happy - well most of us are. I dream big too don't get me wrong, I've been wanting a giga since I was practically a child but I'm not gonna spread a rumor were getting one or push it in asking Great America "if you're reading this please blah blah blah!" That's crass & is not gonna persuade any one but my day dreams. We will all find out soon enough.
& you're absolutely incorrect about Superman being in whizzers place because the demise of Whizzer would have been far more tragic than Superman itself already is. They would done away with all those trees & the water to build it & it would have been just as flat & open plot of land as it is now.

You guys misunderstood me I didn't want superman in Whizzer's place I was just saying it would be a better coaster in a spot like that. I'm grateful they didn't get rid of Whizzer and quite frankly I was glad to see Shockwave go.
