This is getting off the topic for this thread, but I don't really get why people get so hung up on "theme". Cedar Point (for the most part) doesn't have themed areas. Have you ever heard anybody say they don't like Cedar Point because it doesn't have themed areas?
As far as I know Six Flags hasn't considered themselves a theme park in years. Don't they call themselves Thrill Parks?

Here's my thought on Great America's theming. If the park is still going to have theming, they should at least attempt to have continuity in their themed lands. On the other hand, I wouldn't have a problem if they were to get rid of the themed lands and appear as more of a straight up amusement park.
Alot of great posts here guys, glad to see some informed, intelligent positions / wishes. I'm assuming that driving ticket sales is the primary purpose of new rides, and park spending in general. With that in mind, you have to also consider what you're removing. Many have suggested that they remove the SW Ampitheater since it hasn't been used regularly for years and is just a giant space waster at this point. Here are a couple things to consider: 1. The Pictorium has a nice footprint, but could eventually be removed to add additional space for the waterpark, so I doubt very much that this will be used.
2. SWA makes sense for a new, small footprint ride, though I think it's also possible that it could be used for a Demon replacement. The Demon never has waits, and although it's a great 'training wheels' ride for newer people, they could stretch the space and put in a nice new coaster there.
3. The log flume rides are great for families but they take up a GIGANTIC amount of space, space that could be used for a giga coaster and then some. This is my favorite candidate for removal, outside of dead space, like SWA / Pictorium.
Demon isn't going anywhere. It's Dameon Nelson's favorite coaster, it's restraints and starting tunnel have been replaced, and I've seen it with quite a few lines before.
Six Flags Great America is a gem in the Six Flags chain, and judging by the pattern over the last few years, they will continue ripping out unpopular attractions and replacing them with highly marketable rides. Six Flags Great America has a very finite amount of room left, and from the looks of it, Rip Tide Bay, X-Flight, Goliath, they will continue using any bit of freed up space for a major attraction to draw as much traffic to that park as possible, the days of adding duds like Buccaneer Battle are over, lol.
Half of that paragraph is right on the money. SFGAm has done a great job identifying rides that were pretty unpopular or unnecessary and replacing them with winners.
The other half about it being the gem in the Six Flags chain is not correct in my opinion. The park needs to have at least half way decent operations for that title, and theirs are pretty abysmal.

I believe at 1 time it was the most profatable park in the chain. I honestly believe it's the best park when it comes to offerings for the entire family.
Screamscape reported that Six Flags scrapped the Super Loop plans for 2016 hence why they might be looking into the Zamperla Giant Air Race ride.
Secondly, I still think it's Justice League. The view of eagle is about the view you would get from SWA and work has been going on there. Remember, Great America likes to throw us off and use clues we wouldn't expect.
I was at the park today and Eagle was closed today but the purple lights were still on the side when I left, so clearly that was done for the video.
Nothing is happening to Eagle. The park CONFIRMED that the plan was to give at least one side of Eagle the RMC treatment in 2014 but those plans were scrapped for Goliath. No need to RMC eagle when you already have an RMC original coaster (with tons of maintenance issues) already in the park.
Not to mention that Screamscape also mentioned the SFGAm is a virtual lock for the Justice League. And we know that they bought two this year.
Lastly, Condor is NOT going anywhere. The new motor just arrived and the ride should be good to go for Fright Fest so if we got a SkyScreamer,it would not go there!

1st, I'm pretty sure it was never said plans were scrapped for Eagle in favor of Goliath. Hank said they looked into it basically and they are keeping their options open with Eagle.
2nd, I don't believe anything screamscape says until it's confirmed. They've been wrong before and we were a lock with Chang....there were even pieces at the park and that changed last min...so anything can happen

^It was originally intended to replace Space Shuttle America and the old Go Kart track. However, after the change, we ended up adding Riptide Bay instead.
Also, I noticed quite a bit of wood in the Boneyard by Eagle:
There's also a TON of wood in the area next to the lift hill for Eagle. It's to the left.

There's always tons of wood next to Eagle Stacks of it by the transfer track on red side by Washington Street. Unless you're talking about close to SWAT
Ok so far what I'm getting from the teasers is this...
1. Eagle will remain the same except for a retracking and possibly new trains to replace the PTC trains it has now, maybe Intamin, GCI, or maybe even KumbaK.
2. A S&S 4D Free Fly in SWAT spot and here's my reasoning. The first teaser on twitter had superman colors and the video showed a purple light on eagle and the "o"'s in soon at the end of the video sort of resemble loops. The winged seats on a S&S 4D Free Fly flips or "loops" during the course of its ride. And before when I mentioned the colors, I think that means this S&S 4D Free Fly might be named Bizarro.
Sounds reasonable. I was playing word association in another forum here and looked up Premier rides and (please don't shoot the messenger) but from the looks of it Jokers Jinx or Poltergeist would probably fit in SWAT's spot. Would they do it probably not but it would have a ton more capacity than a Green Lantern/Batman Bizarro. Would still love to see Sky Whirl 2.0 but I know, I know it wont happen no need for the eye roll emoji.
Yeah, definitely can't see the Eagle closing. If it were closing / being changed in any serious way, you can bet your bottom dollar they'd market the hell out of that, likely for an entire season.

I'm just saying if that's the case, in the past they haven't announced it this early.
