So what's the most comfortable way to ride Iron Wolf if I want to get a last ride on it? This ride kills my head and body so I want to know where to sit on the ride and how to stand on it.

Heres what i do to ge a decent ride
1.Sit in the front 3 rows 2. I lower my seat so i can sit. This avoids several problems 3. I tighten my muscles in my neck and try to fight the headbanging
I don't know if that works for everyone but it works for me

Yeah, I was just making sure that you, or anybody classifies me as a IW hater, because I truly do love the ride while most people don't. And your right. Iron Wolf front row at night is the 3rd best night ride in the park behind American Eagle and Demon.

I think the fact that Six flags has not stepped in and tried to oust this rumor again should tell us all something......I also think that there is a definite potential for us to get two new coasters in one year. Nothing has been confirmed at this point, and six flags is keeping very quiet. They also offered the special promotion to be one of the first 100 to find out whats going on. I think Six flags has something big planned for 2012.....

I sat in the 2nd row today and the ride still hurt a little bit and I lowered my seat a little. It didn't hurt as bad as the last time I went on it.
I'll be pretty happy when this ride leaves, I think there will be a better coaster that will take it's place.

They do that because they want to create excitement for whatever the new ride is. If you are a PR person, that's their job really.

If Iron Wolf is removed and replaced, it is almost assured that people will still complain and complain about something, if we ended up with a 15 inversion floorless people would complain that the ride doesn't have 16 inversions, if it was a 400 foot tall launched coaster people would complain about OTSRs. So really we shouldnt worry about it because regardless people are still going to complain.
^Couldn't agree with you more. No matter what we get, I'm going to be happy. Honestly, I won't be sad one bit if Iron Wolf leaves. Cool name, bad coaster.
Have a take and don't suck, it's the Jim Rome Show!

About Iron Wolf leaving, their are always going to be people that really like Iron Wolf & not just because oh it's B&M first coaster. I like the ride, and I think it's better than American Eagle and Raging Bull combined. I'm not going to complain about it leaving though because I understand that people don't like it anymore. And I could careless about saving it because it's B&M's first coaster, or just to say we are tied with other parks that have the most B&Ms in the park - which we don't because of SFGAdv. It would be great to get the small X ride if we are getting it, or maybe a EuroFighter like SFOG. We shall see.
It's just everyone that comes to the park has an opinion, and you might be shocked to see what their favorite ride, or a ride they really really really like is. I can't believe people enjoy Ragin Cajun. I hate that ride, but people are still going on it.

Welcome to forums and I agree 100% with you. The park making no recent comments should give us a pretty good idea its leaving. Actually, what i'm hearing is that Jim and Hank aren't fully sure what the plans for 2012 are yet, so its all up in the air. I too think that their good chances Great America will Go Big! for 2012... we should know Iron Wolfs fate and the 2012 addition(s) by the next month.

Yes they do. But Jim wants Iron Wolf gone and Hank wants it to stay. I'm sure we have a set coaster for the SWF falls area, but maybe their thinking about adding another coaster for the IW spot? I can imagine it.
Jim: Ill give you a B&M 4-D if you let me take out that sucky ride Iron Wolf. Hank: Sorry Jim, but we've got to keep Great America's classic coasters. Jim: Are you f****** crazy?

I guarantee you that of the many things that might happen next year, two coasters in one year will not be one of them. It should never have happened in the first place. Six Flags learned the hard way a decade ago that building multiple coasters in one year does not result in attendance that would be significantly higher than them adding only one coaster, and that the negatives are much more significant. I know that Magic Mountain is advertising "Three new coasters" this year, but one of them is basically a refurb, and one of them is a kiddie coaster, which doesn't really count in the same way. It's different then adding Deja Vu and V2 in one year. Magic Mountain is in a unique situation in which multiple coasters in one year may prove feasible for them, but adding two coasters to any other park in the same year will never happen again, ever.
My guess is that whatever will be added will go where SWF was, and Iron Wolf, for the time being, will be replaced with nothing.

No, it's more like this. Jim: Can you believe that these enthusiasts think we are going to give them 2 roller coasters in one year? Hank: Nope. They also think that we will actually put in another ride on top of the ride we are giving them in SWF / Great America Raceway in Iron Wolf's spot. Jim: Yeah, maybe will put in another basketball pay thing. The one in County Fair got to move somewhere. Hey maybe we will move that stupid Karoake stage too. Jim and Hank: Ha Ha
^This is all in fun, and no neither of them said that so DO NOT take it literally, but I wouldn't be surprised if that happens - that they move the Basketball thing, and the stage in order for the new roller coaster in SWF area. On top of that, they have that skeeball game, and that smoker's designated area. I would imagine they would move that stuff in order for the new ride in SWF to be seen better. At that time, it was an okay design with the Great America Raceway station there, but I must admit that the Splash Water Falls being in the middle of the Great America Raceway probably hurt it in the long run. People like to see things they are going on, Splash Water Falls was up the stairs over on the other side.

Heres how I roll... (It works for everyone Ive shown)
TIP #1: 1st/2nd row...poss 3rd. any further back & she gets too aggressive.
TIP #2: Place your feet flat & make sure your bottom & "in between your legs" is touching comfortably. Make sure there is space from the tops of your shoulders to the restraints, dont close restraint too tight on you, leave a weebit room.
TIP #3: When the train leaves the station, place left foot on tippy toes up against the back wall of your seat but the toes on the floor. Then, with the right foot step it forward but tippy toes against the front wall of floor with heel on floor. This gives me an odd stability of support.
TIP #4: When train gets to top of lift, keep head forward & stabilize your neck. Hold onto grab bars & push outward on the restraint. The thrashing only happens to my chest when i do this & it gives my body room to move in the restraint (tip 2) but youre pushing out so it youre stabilizing yourself, its just in case you do move your shoulders have room to move instead of bein slammed into the restraints when they already have contact if too tight to begin with.
I always have great rides on her, but I will admit somethin is wrong with her nowadays cause even my way has not helped me. Its helped handful of other, but my ears get chopped every time with my new piercings.

Yeah, if they should be handing out your guide to ride, it's time for it to go.
I think the Deja Vu saga has us a bit burned. You take out a thrill ride coaster and replace it with BB. You give us 2 mice, some water attractions and a Kddieland coaster. Maybe not too many will miss IW and welcome something new but maybe the new is not better. A Zacspin? Let's see how it holds up at MM in a few years. I can spin on Revolution, Orbit and King Chaos (which seems to be down a lot). There are those still crying about Shockwave which was 10x more painful than IW. I bet IW leaving was decided a while ago, hence we were going to get a standup replacement at one point and "donate" our old one to SFA. I have always have a good ride with IW as long as I keep my head out after the corkscrew. It hardly has a line which guarantees me a ride if I am there for only an hour after work.
Just to put more fuel into the firing Rumor that Iron Wolf is being relocated to Six Flags America, a Coaster permit application for a stand up coaster has been found On there local Goverment website http://www.screamscape.com/html/six_flags_america.htm
