Thanks all. I had been a lurker for like a year, but i figured after my son and I going to Six Flags 18 times this season so far I might as well join...
So, people were saying what in the world does project 12 mean? It can't mean they have 12 coasters.. - Ummm, think the obvious - 2012...

I'm guessing a post-apocalypse or apocalyptic themeing for the ride. I for one am glad they are cleaning it and making our Iron Wolf pretty again.

Chang was never a floorless to begin with, so that doesn't really prove your point. Although I would agree with the fact that you could probably make IW's existing trains smoother if you simply tightened some bolts and replaced a few parts. It SHOULD get new trains though (and I mean new stand-up trains).
Looks like Apocalypse: The Last Stand will use the same trains, not positive on that though. But seemingly, they would have ordered 8-car trains if they were getting new trains.. right?
^ Yeah that's what I thought too. The OTSR's and front car looks the same too. But, they just may have traced and recolored the IW trains to make the picture.
Push down, then pull up. Exit to your left/right. And, enjoy the rest of your day at Six Flags! Your friendly enthusiast Kyle.

I think the problem with adding more cars to the train is that they would have to make the tracks - the maintenance track in particular - longer, and probably the transfer track longer. Though, who says SF couldn't order a 7 car new train from B&M? Knowing SF, I doubt they would do that, but who says they couldn't?

Apocalypse is clearly not VIP, either that or it's an extreme low end, bargain basement one. It has no detail what so ever that is the hallmark of VIP, where most of the rest I've noticed have the extreme detail like bolt flanges in the track, weld marks, accurate footer placement and structure design, etc.
