Zoning meeting aren't done low key. They have to have a public hearing where the residents are invited to attend. Just because you're Six Flags you don't get to skip this step. The first meeting would have happened by now, as it's usually announced weeks in advance to give he residents a notice, so anything we are getting isn't going to be over the height variance.
Honestly what is going on I'm so confused, is orbit gone now? Will six flags release something today? Will they address the situation? Cmon guys help me out

They very well might not mention anything at all, a flat ride leaving isn't especially newsworthy to anybody but us. In today's world, people (like us) apart everything, but it's not really a big deal. They'll probably just remove it from the website and maybe tweet about it.

You missed the whole part where I said the picnic grove is 500+ feet away from a residential area so 200 feet would be the limit before having to get an approval. Hence the new attraction may not be over 200 feet tall to require a zoning board meeting.
East River Crawler moves to Orbit's spot. Jester either leaves the park or goes somewhere else. Bridge b/w Yankee Harbor and Mardi Gras is removed. We get a 4D Free Fly (maybe themed after Harley Quinn) and a new flat in Mardi Gras.

Then why would you say the meeting was done low key of here wouldn't have been a meeting at all?
The park doesn't owe us any explanation of what they are doing so all of you up in arms about a 40 year old flat ride that the general public could care less about need to realize that. And trust me the only ones following them to see what's happening are die hard theme park followers. None of the general public has any idea of what's even going on and they just want to enjoy themselves when they are there and of here's a new ride then it's better in the long run for them. Don't mean to come off being rude but come on guys think about it...
Pretty sure S&S 4D Spin coasters or whatever their called are only around 120 feet tall so if we were to get one, the park wouldn't need to have a meeting with the village about it since it is unde 125 feet.
Maybe all the markers are to prepare for 2018? Just a thought. Usually Six flags adds 3 coasters, and the rumors are SFOT and SFFT, so the third one here is possible for 2017

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/quote] I apologize. I woke up not long after typing me response. I didn't mean to put "low key" in there. I got ahead of myself there.
Ok, I didn't read any posts on the last page because I want to find out if Orbit is gone by myself, but anyways, if SFGAm wanted to save money by closing rides early, they why didn't they close a ride that's actually STAYING and let Orbit play out for the rest of the season?

On the topic of a free spin, I don't know if it has been mentioned yet, but Great Adventure received a free spin for 2016, and now they are "basically" confirmed to get Justice League for 2017, due to filing a permit. If they get a freespin and a Justice League in 2 years, what is stopping corporate from doing the same thing with Great America?
Based on things we've been seeing lately, I'm sure we can all agree that in 2017 we are getting flat ride package of some sort. And in 2018 we are getting a coaster based on the markers in Picnic Grove or the flumes or wherever they are.

Total agree with you Remember whenever we see markers, it's usually not the next season we see anything in that spot. Markers for Goliath, X-Flight & Justice League were all seen about 2 years prior before the rides went in.
staticshadows wrote:I think we can rule out the 4D Freespin, there doesn't seem to be a good way to make it fit into the area once you add the queue space. The below image shows 4 attempted layouts. I am still going with 3 new flats and a Gotham retheme for Mardi Gras. The markers in the picnic grove could either be for something in a couple of years or utility upgrades(Electrical, Water) for the new rides.
The 4D coaster would be placed on Ragin' Cajuns location. I believe where you have it now is where two new flats would go.

I know there was a bit of talk about there being markers last year, I just can't remember where they were...
