Seriously, people?
Unfortunately, stupidity isnt illegal. However, it will get you kicked out and or banned. Personally I think anyone who brings a camera on a coaster without it being attached to them should get a 24 hour psych eval and if they pass they sould get a reckless endangerment ticket. If they have it mounted or are wearing it in a way they cant drop it then I say no problem.
Necropolis wrote:Whats the worst that could happen? You get kicked out? So? I personally don't care. It's just one day. Plus I dont live too far from the park so I can come back any other day again.
Yeah kicked out of every SF park for life, and get arrested. That's the worse that can happan. Or wait maybe a camera could hit someone's head at 55 mph they die and you get Accidental Homicidal charges. Maybe even 2nd otr 3rd degree murde. Yeah so i'm stuck in prison for 50 years at least i got a cool video.
And Cole odds are your not going to get a good video. Unless you have expierence IW a shaky ride. It's not even worth it
So this is a bit off topic but one time I was next to the photo booth at Sprockets and pulled out my camera facing the complete opposite way from the booth to delete some photos. The guy came around behind me and grabbed it from my hands and warned me to not take pictures of the photos on the screen without paying or they will rid my digital camera. First, I wasn't even facing the booth and second he had no proof so isn't it illegal to grab something from me?
Anyways, back to Wolf. I'm very pleased to have gotten my merchandise at a discount. Though I'm not fond of the ride, it is a little strange to think only a few more weeks and it's gone forever. I mean it's always been there since before I was born.

He might have thought you were about to take a picture. Either way though that was wrong of him. I know CP has sign saying not to take pictures of th onride pictures
I love how SFAm quickly dismissed the theory of IW just like SFGAm did about it leaving.
BTW 500TH POST
Yep. When the answer ends up being whatever they rename Iron Wolf as, people will be upset. Wonder how many members of the GP won't even realize it's a rehabbed IW.

That sounds more like it. Figured they would just put a slap to ur wrist. Thats it. But hey at least maybe you were able to get some footage if not all of the coaster POV. Im sure they wouldnt arrest you for a simple matter of filming 1 minute of roller coaster footage. Plus Ive seen tons of kids making vids with their phones in the park itself. Never seen anyone get in trouble for that. Unless they mistakingly didn't get caught or warned.

As you can see though SFAM's PR person is actually interacting with the GP commenting on the photo. Everyone that comments on sfgams photo, speculating about the ride, just gets deleted...wtf

Well we didn't have FB back then so the parks didn't have a real way to launch a viral campaign to alert folks that it was leaving.
SFA has already begun their teasers on FB yesterday & have said that the new ride coming to the park will NOT be IW,apparently they know via corporate about the rumors of the ride being relocated when new rumors going around indicate that the ride is too old to be relocated & will be scrapped so this might very well turn out to be a new design after all.B&M will build a new standup coaster if a park asks them to do so for those who insist on saying SFOG's was the last one they'd ever build..
The final 2 weeks of Iron Wolf at SFGAM have begun already. 14 days left to go. Im sure someone on this site will try and get the final ride on wolfie or those idiots who try and get the last ride of raging bull every night.
^Do those people still do that because i've heard they also try and do that with B:TR in the morning so we tried to beat their system but i didn't see them. Has anyone else?

New coaster construction takes a lot of time and planning. If they want it to open early next season, they can't just say, "Oh damn, they figured it out. Let's buy a new one instead." That would take at least another season, and probably only if they decided to buy a clone. New ride planning would take longer. The plans for whatever is going in at SFGAm was probably decided on sometime late last season. They may have had a few things up in the air for all parks, but likely had the basis for all plans set even earlier 2010, maybe even 2009. Or maybe it went exactly as planned this year and the truck that delivered the track piece of Chang to SFGAm read the manifest incorrectly, not realizing the difference between Great America and Great Adventure.
