The Pictorium was closed last monday. But the map has the "Top Speed" show listed until the end of the season. (Oct 31st). But that just could be becuase they didn't know when it would close. But the pictorium has been closed for a while. Well...That's sad if that's the "attraction" that will be taken down. Because if you'll notice in Rons statement "Major Attraction" not "Major Ride."

I was thinking the same thing when Ron/Wolf said that. To DejaVu The Ride: Has the Pictorium ever been closed? If the cooling system was broke, they could fix that in a day. It doesn't make sense to close it. It's not a ride that has techincal failures.
The host outside of the pictorium said it was a problem with the light bulb for the pictorium and that it should be up sometime soon, and it was by Wednesday of this past week and has been since.
O ok^ I did read the last pages though...My opinion is put the Go karts were...hmmm I dont know where you can tear down a ride...you can always take them out you know. I mean they are fun but would you rather have a ride that you can go on for free or cars that you have to pay on.
No matter how hard it is...Never EVER give up. The real failure is those who dont try.
It also gives the workers something to do after the park closes. I'm surprised that people would pay extra for these type of attractions. SFGAm offers 40+ rides that should be able to satisfy everyone in the family.

^Beware BTR might be closing for a couple weeks. They also have a lightbulb problem. Ha Ha << I think the Joker did it. LOL

Workers leave after they're finished, not go on Gokarts, lol. (besides right at closing maintenence shuts it down anyway).

Keep in mind the pictorium is one of the largest screens around, a lightbulb, one being one that runs with the projectors or something could easily take a while to get a replacement if they didnt have any on hand, which ofcourse isnt smart. So it really could be a simple issue there having with the equipment inside the building.
The lamp that the Pictorium uses is a 15,000 watt water and air cooled xenon arc lamp.
I am unsure of the problem, but if the lamp simply degassed, it could be replaced within two hours if a spare is on hand. There always should be a spare ready, so I doubt that is it. If it exploded, the theatre should have spare collectors and mirrors on site. Most IMAX theatres have spares of pretty much anything that can go wrong, and if a theatre does not have the parts available, they will be sent ASAP.
There is also a seperate mechanical room to help cool the lamp, so if one of the components there is having problems, that can also be the issue, but there is usually a backup system in place. They are definitely waiting on a part for it to take this long.

I know that at sfstl u can use the same season pass u enter the park with at the water park.
If the waterpark is separate from the park, you will need another season pass. At SFStL, it is included with admission so they let you use the season pass.
