Yankee Harbor and Yukon had terrible music. Some of the CF music was OK. Hometown's new music I actually liked a bit with it being oldies, but still didn't fit real well with the theming.
where can i download the demon song i had downloaded it before now my hardrive crashed and i can't remember where i got it from
Former Six Flags Ride Operator - 2008-2011. "The Whizzer Guy." Also Worked at Demon, Batman, Viper, Raging Bull, Carousel, Big Easy Balloons, King Chaos, Orbit, Wiggles, Hometown Fun Machine, Triple Play, Log Flumes. I make and edit amusement park videos under the name Techie Dave Productions
I have "The Demon" on cd. Also the FF SouthWest Territory music.
Candy: What you lookin' at? Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama. Candy: Yeah, you see something you like? Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.
I think everyone who likes the Marriott music better should go to Guests relations and fill out a complaint form.
If you do not hear back from them e-mail Shapiro

This debate is kind of a double edged sword, if I say I don’t like the new music that would be a lie, primarily because it gives the park a different feel than it ever has. But if I said I didn’t love the old Marriott music I would be lying right to your face.
The Marriott music is pretty much what has always been there! It also nice to have a change! “With great change comes great sacrifice”
The park is in a time of Great change, I partly believe that these changes are being done to get the park back to having a nostalgic feel. By playing music that doesn’t fit the section but appeals to a wide audience, it gets people to identify with the park more. Once the guest can identify the music with the park and good times then we will have our nostalgic feeling back. If to achieve the nostalgic feeling means, putting awesome old Marriott music back or finding a new feel for the park I’m excited to see what’s in store for Six Flags Great America.
While walking the midways last weekend, I really loved this one area in Hometown Square right next to the rope climb, across from the Orbit. The speakers were playing awesome almost Disney or Islands of Adventure-esk classical music which I really thought was a great step in the right direction. Keep up the awesome work tech services!
I think we need new music, I liked the 60s music in HTS, they should bring that back, it just seemed to me like after 30 years HTS moved from being a twenties small down to a 60s small town. But I really think they need new music.
Here's how I would do it.
Carousel Plaza- Patriotic style music, the music played out front of the park with the spirit of america songs, as well as songs like God Bless the USA played.
Hometown- Play 20s and 30s style music, Cole Porter and the Like, and bring back the old Joplin, that song was the staple of that section, but just Cole Alone could give them a full soundtrack.
Southwest- Country Music. Yep. Golden Country Western combined with Todays hits.
County Fair- I'd stick with the 80s...The old county fair music drove me nuts.
Yukon- Bring back the Marriot Music. This is the only section this should be done. But what else can fit the theming?
Yankee- I would play the batman soundtracks here. All five of them, minus the score. Things like Kiss from a rose etc...It definetly goes with the sort of idea that this once Small town New England Harbor which it stared out as 30 years ago has grown into a kind of big city, but it's still trying to hang on to it's roots.
Mardi Gras- Honestly, I have no idea what they play in this section right now. But I would be playing sort of blue grass, zydeco etc... and of course "Let the good times Roll" and any other songs like that.
Orleans- Okay...I take it back, bring back the marriot soundtrack for this one too. Intersperse it with the current music though, it's a decent soundtrack over there.
I finally wrote an e-mail to corp, because I wrote to Guest Relations last year and never got a reply back. They e-mailed me back and said that they are taking specific specific steps to address my concern at all parks in the Six Flags chain. They are looking to put the theme back into theme music. So we will see how they will do it.
Its not that we hate the music, its just that listening to the Go Go's is not theme music for early 1900 America
There is one song from SWT that I've been looking for forever. They still play it in the park to this day. The two I have aren't it. Are there any others somewhere?
What they should do is keep the old marriot theme music in the midways, but pump in newwer music in the ques. I always liked hearing that old music while walking through and area, but I remember going out of my mind one time while waiting for Deja Vu having to hear that music non stop for like an hour.
I'm with you Piper. They should swap places with the Yankee Harbor soundtrack and the current Pop soundtrack to theme up the V2, and combine the score and current soundtrack in the Batman queue. The old Marriott soundtracks need to return in their full lengths pronto!
To DejaVuGirl: The answer is that a handful of the Southwest Territory soundtracks come from compilations such as Jim Hendricks: Under The Western Sky, one track from Ottmar Liebert, and a few tracks from the movie soundtrack 'The Way West'. Unfortunately a few of the other tracks for me have yet to be named. And I don't quite know which track you like because there's a ton of them.

R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."
Carry on my Wayward Soul" - Boston
Tainted Love" - Depesche Mode
Sorry to be a child of the 80s' but Its "Carry on my Wayward Son" By Kansas. And Soft Cell did tainted Love. DM never did a cover of it. I wish they had.
I kinda like the music in the park. When youre sittin waitin for friends, its a respite away from lil buggers crying to mommy why they cant hit the broadside of a barn and win a prize from a game thats rigged to begin with.
There is the song playing in County Fair, the music and lyrics sound like Michael Jackson or Prince. i don't really know the lyrics, bu the song is more Dance and it's kind of fast. it's about dancing, about not stopping. It's so hard to explain, maybe u guys can guess.
Six Flags Ameirca as the number 1 park at SFI.... this is JOKE!

I agree
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
That song by Michael Jackson could be of three guesses to me: Shake Your Body (Down to The Ground), Workin' Day And Night (album track from 'Off The Wall'), or perhaps it could be 'Don't Stop 'till You Get Enough'.
And I do notice that there is modern country music in Southwest Territory. That place was meant to be themed to play the old cowboy songs. I think they did it before at one point last year and they switched back to the original soundtrack. I hope they do that again because I'm not a really big fan of modern country.

There's a song played in County Fair played this year that I like but I don't know the name. It sounds like either The Bangles or maybe the Go- Gos. I can't really hear the lyrics but I know the beat. I'll type it out, but I don't think it's going to help,
I was in the park last week and I swear that I heard some of the old Marriott "Orleans Place" music begin played in Mardi Gras. I couldn't really point out the music but I really sure it was the old music.
