Fright Fest - 2006

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Stoogie on August 16th, 2006, 9:49 pm
Were skipping FF this year. It's waaaaaay too dang crowded. We're going to go hit some haunts around the area and go to the Niles Scream park.
Candy: What you lookin' at?
Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama.
Candy: Yeah, you see something you like?
Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.

that first weekend isnt too bad, but there are some crowds.

Usually FF is very crowded, especially when the weather is not extremely cold. If it is very cold, the crowd usually dies down, but on one of my visits last year, it was about 35 degrees outside, and still packed. Go figure. :?

i remember last year, it got to the point where they had to post a sign saying the park was too crowded...it was either the second or third weekend last year. It gets pretty busy...but besides that, I can't wait!

You know i actualy kind of like it when its colder during FF. It lets the crowds go away and it adds to the effect in my opinion.

If you go earlier in the morning the crowds not that bad but by afternoon and nightime its packed unless you know where to go in the park and what rides to go on you can still enjoy youre day. So its not that bad like Jack said.

Ok, whats the deal with the new hunted house? Its based on DOOM so what could they do? I thought sleepy hollow was pretty good but the clowns made no sense. Anyway, is it gonna be all dooms or what? I have no idea. Any ideas?

^^^^ i think this year's fright fest will rock. The family was dropped, which is fairly good for those who are used to the fun and stuff. I wouldn't count on the FF after this year to be bad, who knows what Shapiro's effects on it will be. I wouldn't be too worried.

No, it's a funhouse theme, so the clowns will actually make sense this time.

Was the headless horseman even in Sleep Hollow? I don't think I ever saw him.

I think a House Of A Thousand Corpses type dark ride would be cool. Or, better yet, bring back Alice Cooper? :D I love halloween soo dang much... probably too dang much!

EDIT:: Do you guys think Necro will be different this year? I think it was awesome last year but they need to drop the bad santa thing.
