Practical Improvements

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby BMRider on November 25th, 2004, 5:19 pm
Six Flags can have great customer service without doing everything Cedar Point does, Planea. First it is the speils, then you want the rides overstaffed to improve capacity by 50 people. Then what, The Cedar Fair logo at the bottom of our website? The park has a reason for not doing manual spiels.

By the way, Happy Thanksgiving.

I am not too fond of Cedar Point, I think alot of things they do is not a good way of doing it. By the way Cedar Point was not the first to do this, Universal Has been doing this for years. Alos, I am saying it is another way to raise customer service. Great America did this pre-premier days, mostly on Shockwave.

Sorry for reviving a dead topic but heres an idea. They should add automated ticket buying machines like Universal uses. Put them by the boarded up ticket boths by the bathrooms, and have one person from admission be there to help with confusion. This would drasticly lower wait time to buy tickets allowing more people to get in the park on crowded days faster.

I will propovly repeat some of yours:

1. Quene line for SUF- some big cave with paint of superman inside, IW- put some in bulding, that inside would have webs and crapy staff, AE- statues of eagles american flags all the time

2. More lloney Toones _ come on when you walk to Disney you know it is Disney, but when you walk to SF you don't see Looney toons MUCH! There should be in the front next to the Colubian Cariusel!

3. SPECIFIC, Uniforms for staff RB: Staff to wear COWBOY shoes, and outfit. BTR- staff wear- for girls catwomen, and the other two ladies- don't remember, boys- batman Riggler "?", the massacre face one. VV- people with high tech outfit- like in fitre, yellow glasses. SUF- superman, superwomen and others.

4. Build more braches

5. SOmething like planea said :"Welcome to the launch area, the captain ask that you move all the way across filling in all aviable seats in the pods. The captain ask that you do not eat or drink during the mission, for he does not want anyone to be incappiable of fighting for the protection of earth...If the captain notices you are eatting or drinking he will dissable your pod. Please cross your ankles and raise your arms for your mission is about to start."- IN EVERY RIDE for RB: wlecome all the coweboy, ready for RODEO contast.......

What you just said my actually ruin the park. Sorry to say it. :(

And there are looney toons that are next to the Columbia Carousel. Right after each Six Flags Party.

Also, what are braches? You say the park needs more of them.

And, may I add, what does propovly mean? And, if I may add this as well, what does a cave have to do with Superman? Also, what is a Riggler?

I'm thinking of a practical improvement. I would change the name of Camp Cartoon Network to Camp Boomerang or Hanna-Barbera Hideout. Because I know nearly all of the cartoons in the section are under the Hanna-Barbera logo. Then I could add a Wally The Gator themed ride wherever there is room, plus bring more characters into the section. Then add some songs from various HB cartoons to the soundtrack.

PKI already has a Hanna-Barbera themed area. I don't know if Six Flags would do the same thing or if they even have rights to do that.

Then they could re-name it Camp Boomerang by Cartoon Network or around that. Then place 'B' emblems on scattered parts of the area such as on benches, light poles, or trash cans.

I came up with this idea because Cartoon Network eventually had to birth a new station devoted to the classic cartoons so they can air new stuff too. So Boomerang airs the old timers while CN is the anchor of the modern Mucha Lucha, Puffy AmiYumi, Teen Titans, Codename, and Kids Next Door.

I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

Brrrrr. That would be captivating. Sure would be a great beacon of refreshment on a hot day.

I agree with the lack of theming in the Stargate attraction. I would like the spiels to be redone to match the theming. But the Superman ride needs it more than any other attraction.

Right now, I say it's time to put the 'B' in Camp Cartoon Network.

I actually think it would be a cool idea to expand on Camp Cartoon Network a little bit. Somehow try and expand the area, so there is just a little bit more for little kids to do. How many rides are even over there? Five or six? Take a look at PKI's Hanna Barbera Land, and Nick Central... our kiddy section(s) pale in comparison to that, and it's actually pretty sad.

Mr. SFGAm, who's been there with little kids, and thinks it's sad that they can ride all of the kiddy rides in under a half hour. :?

I think they should add one more ride in Camp Cartoon Network in the back corner and then they should have a large expansion to Looney Toons National park.(I'm sure they could make room.)

don't have much comments, besides that the over theming might be too much. I like the looney tunes ideas, they're great, um...other than that, not much to add

See, all of you guys want the impossable. I want a simple item, having a park in which I enjoy going to. Right now, I think we're pretty damn lucky to have everything we have. Now I know that sometimes the service of the rides could be a little slow; such as bull running two trains til about noon. But, most of the time, when I get my morning bull rides in, they are still inspecting the train. To me, SFGAm is a top notch park and it is our home, even though we don't like some of the parks decisions on certain things, the park is still a really, really well runned park for being as big as it now is.
Watch out theres a new Hurricane in Gurnee, IL!

^We need to be happy that our coaster's aren't run like the ones at SFNE or SFA where they only put two trains on a coaster if the line gets long enough. Just think running one train on Bull until 1 PM everyday.

^ So true. I am very thankful that our park is one of the most well run in the chain. We have one of the best coaster selections in the country, a fairly large amount of flats(especially compared to other large theme parks), and are still one of the most themed of all Six Flags parks. :D

Theming. Thats all I ask.
It's called a theme park for a reason.
Coasters and rides can be overrated, throw in some nice landscaping and promenades. Something to do while your drying off from a water ride.
What you don't understand you can make mean anything.

Whats wrong with the uniforms? Well I would redo the bathrooms and redo Yankee Harbor ( already talked about this in another forum long long ago ) I would basically add more landscaping to the park, not that its bad just saying, what sucks is that a lot of people vandalise the park so if we repaint like the paintings the line, they would probly peel it off of write on it.
No matter how hard it is...Never EVER give up. The real failure is those who dont try.

1.The Space Shuttle America/ Star Gate complex in otdats and needs new seats. In its current forn, motion is distrubited to a whole box of seats, which is not as fun or relistic as motion being applied to two ro three seats. Take Kentucky Kingdon for exampl. Motion is applied for every two seats. When I watched Stargate, I felt more as one with the ride.

2.Also, if possible, modify the Stargate film and make it 3D. It just makes it so much better.

3. Yukon Territory is one of the best themed areas of the park, but Camp Cartoon Network really takes away from the theming. It is not really themed to the are, unlike the Loony Toons Nation Park thing. Either retheme it, or move it.

Of corse, the above is my personal opinion.
Ugh.

I was thinking about that... there would be some things that would have to be worked out, like what to do when a family buys a child's ticket, and then the 12 year old isn't admitted because he/she is too tall, etc.
