New site observations: The new sites are www2. The old site is still up at www. On the main page the first ride under Goliath showed up as RC lmao! Great Articles: Top 3 fan favs: RB, BTR, XF Agreed. The most extreme article has Viper backwards. The Entertainment section on this site actually has the shows. These seem to be last years shows but it's great they have entertainment info on this one. ...it seems to me this site may have been up this season and we just didnt notice it because of the www www2 difference. Did anyone else notice the www2 site b4 this?
Well many fails then. Why would you make busy bees and ragin cajun sections on a new site? And include Viper Backwards " Viper runs backwards through September 2."...of last season...
Where exactly are you seeing hours? I see events posted on the calendar, but no hours, or even operating dates.
I misspoke (or mistyped?). I didn't mean hours but 2014 season events on the calendar. Although, I should've looked further ahead because it's only posted through the second week of June. I'm not sure when the 2014 hours will be posted. As far as the "www2.", that's just what the new sites are under. I wonder if they will switch it over to "www." shortly.

These sites have probably been under development for a long time. They could have been building it even back when Buzzy Bees was still in the park. They could have intended to launch the site sooner, but whatever reason didn't, so some of the info is outdated. Besides, the fact that you have to go to www2 to get the new version of the site shows that the site isn't fully ready to be launched yet. I'm sure it'll all be sorted out by the time they replace the current site with this one.
I just noticed some of the other parks had new site designs when I looked at the hours for Fiesta Texas earlier today so I wondered if SFGAm had a new one too. I just changed the URL from /fiestatexas to /greatamerica and that's what popped up. I guess it's not quite finished yet.

Does anybody know when the park releases the full operating schedule? We are planning to visit the park in August (08/16/2014-08/20/2014). I read that they are only open on weekends in late August?
The new website also shows an updated food and shopping list which includes Goliath Snacks and Thrill Seekers. I noticed they removed Cyber Cafe, Toy Barn, Wizard's Workshop (some of these may have been gone already but I didn't pay attention) and other places. They added Antique Photo Emporium and a couple other restaurants and shops.

Not surprising to see Cyber Cafe being redone. With the computers gone there wasn't much "cyber" left. Toy Barn and Wizards Workshop have just been merged into Cartoon Cabin. If I remember correctly the insides were connected so they really had two names for the same store.

Is Cyber Cafe turning into Le Cafe?
Update: I received a really quick response from Brandon Bruce. I asked if JB's Smokehouse is returning and he said yes.

The new version of the website has now replaced the old one. The park hours are also up. - Daily 10:30 to 10 operations starts 6/23, ends 8/3 - Daily HH operations from 11 - 6 begins 6/14, ends 8/11 - HH is open from 5/24 to 9/1 - FF is now open until 12am on Saturdays - The website lists the park being closed from 9/8 to 9/26, but at NCC Out in the Park was listed as 9/13, so either either they are no longer open to the public that day or one of the calendars is wrong.
I'm not too familiar with the shops but what's the Antique Photo Emporium? Has that already been at the park or is that replacing the M-Porium? Also, JB's has been added to the dining list.

I figured it wasn't but I don't know much of the shops around the park other than the ones in Carousel Plaza and County Fair. Anyways, park opens in 99 days!

Actually not that many changes to the schedule this year, I'll break it down here:
3 days removed. The random Monday the last week of August, Saturday September 13th, and the first Fright Fest Thursday are now closed.
Columbus Day is now 11:00-7:00 instead of 10:00-6:00
An extra hour has been added to Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend (10:30-10:00), weekdays the second week of June (10:30-9:00), the Fright Fest Thursday (6:00-11:00), and all Fright Fest Saturdays (11:00-12:00)
And whoever updated the site forgot about November 2nd
I had my doubts last year about the park adding on that extra Thursday night to FF. I get the Halloween weekend one this year seeing as how the 31st is on a Friday
I can't imagine it's worth finding that many people who actually have the availability to work just to sustain the level of crowd (which I can't believe was much) that came last year, but the 666 promotion is a good marketing tactic....here's to hoping they actually expand on the HH area like they talked about in the presentation.
