Would this make any sense?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I'm pretty sure most would recognize it. Some people may not recognize it as Shockwave, but I'm sure a lot would still recognize it.

Most people do not even know it is gone. They think the Whizzer disappeared instead. (The people who did not come this year)

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

The Whizzer getting a stay of execution was all over the newspapers and T.V. news.

Many people where I work that hardly go to SFGAm know that the Whizzer is still around.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I was referring to the Whizzer staying.
Not about Shockwave being gone.

I definately know what you mean. Even those who were actually at GAm didn't know which was gone. Last August, while waiting in line for Iron Wolf, for about a half hours worth of the wait these two people managed to start an arguement with the people all around us in line on whether or not Shockwave or Whizzer were still in the park.
One person insisted that both were gone, and that Deja Vu was built were Whizzer was.
Another insisted that they had just finished riding both Whizzer and Shockwave.
Of the fifteen or so people involved in the arguement, only two or three had the story straight.
Finally Coaster Season!!

People! People! My god, first of all Shockwave is DONE! It will *NEVER* return to Great America. If you don't recall, the last couple seasons it has had no line, there is no public interest, and it is not in SFGAm's interest either. As far as marketing 4 B&Ms... come on! Who honestly knows what a B&M even is! maybe 1 percent of the guests who visit Six Flags. SFGAm's 2004 season was practically confirmed by Amusement Business. Stop trying to start your own rumors because you think you know the park better than they know themselves. Marketing 4 B&Ms, hahaha I had a good laugh. Thanks Aero737 for adding how far fetched that idea was. Besides the point, to get all the B&Ms we'd still need an Oblivion-style B&M. Speaking of B&M.... who here rode with Claude on media day?.... or was it Walter... nonetheless.. I did!

Hey everyone,

It's been great to get some of your thoughts on this issue. Like I said in the beginning, I'm not saying that this is going to happen. Heck, we don't even know whether or not GA will be building any new territory or not. I agree with those of you who brought up the space issue, as I'm sure that would be a factor considering just how massive SW truly was. But I'm not really sure where a couple of you are coming from. First of all, my comments about GA being able to market having the collection of B&Ms was taken out of context a bit. GA has always boasted about having one of the best coaster collections in the country, and adding another, or possibly 2, would give them the chance to continue on that path. I guess the way I worded it made people think too much about the fact that they were B&Ms, and that was my fault. Secondly, some people have claimed that some of us are trying to make it sound as if we know what's best for the park. I'm not sure what that means. I'm simply stating the fact that reassembling an old coaster would seem to be a whole lot cheaper than purchasing a new one. With GA, like all companies, concerned with the bottom line, the notion of putting SW back up seems feasible. Does that mean that I'm convinced that it's going to happen? No. I'm not even convinced of all of the flats until I see them or hear direct confirmation that they're all there! GA has made me happy since I was a kid, so I know that they are good at what they do. But I'm still intrigued at why SW hasn't moved since its deconstruction. It just seems to me that if it were being relocated to another park that it would've already been moved by now.
I'm gonna twist ya, and I'm gonna flip ya. Every time you squeal, I'm just gonna go faster and harder.
