Batman, Superman, and X Flight all leave their trains on the storage tracks over the winter. Maintenance just covers up the openings at the front like this:
For Batman, they cover the opening at the back of the brake run and the opening at the back of the loading area.

THey should really do something about that. in my opinion I dont like seeing spare parts there, kind of takes away from the theming if ya know what I mean.
I know what you're talking about but I actually think the spare pieces of equipment lying around make it seem more mysterious and "creepy," if you know what I mean.

Batman always has at least one train's wheel covers sitting in that area, with about 6in of dust on them. They haven't moved in years. Kinda confirms more solid that they don't come off the track.

Yeah, haha. I totally gotcha and see what you mean. It does give it a more industrial feel to it, just like Gotham City. But yeah, Im still slightly jelly that people still get to work at the park during the off season.
There is a certain position that I would like to apply for, but am not sure they would hire me for it... Do you suppose I could apply for 2 positions? Would they interview me for both, or just toss one in the trash due to my name popping up twice?

You'd be interviewed for the position you're better suited for....By that I mean it depends on how you answer the questionnaire. Applying for both simply increases your chance of a call.

Ok, so lets say hypothetically that I have an interview for the rides dept and they gave me a choice of 4 Saturdays to choose from to do my interview. Let's also say, for the sake of the argument, that they are going to hire me for sure. If I have to pick one of the later Saturdays, such as the third, would that affect my chances of getting put on a good ride...?
^ Personally, I'd pick the earliest date possible, but it is possible to get a big ride at just about anytime. It is also possible to switch rides during the season. You will not find out your ride(s) when you are first hired though. You will get your unit assignment at the end of your Rides Department training (which will be your second training date, after Discovery/Orientation).

You will be put where you are needed. Only re-hires get choice of rides they want.....And even re-hires are NOT guaranteed their fist choice. Trust me on this, if you plan on more than one season, avoid more popular rides like Bull, Superman, and Batman; American Eagle is by-far my favorite ride worked.

I had Bull as my home unit for 2 seasons and was certified for it for 4 seasons. Never had any problem with it. I never had any trouble with Superman either. Only thing with Superman is leg flaps. You have to look down every row and make sure the guests legs are inside them. Doesn't sound hard, but you wouldn't believe how many people have gotten safeties because of them. (No, I never missed any myself )
