Those pictures are outstanding! It really is starting to take some shape. Hope the weather will let up some time soon and winter will start to back off because it must be much harder to work in the cold and snow.
If you look at the ground, there is no snow so I don't think that's a problem... It's probably a bit chilly though... Those are some excellent pictures, it's starting to look like a real coaster now!
Well where I live there is about 4 inches of snow on the ground constantly and I think I may actually be a little bit south from SFGAm so I thought maybe the park would have that same amount of snow if not more. This is one winter that the snow has not let up and there is always snow on the ground. This is right after last winter where some of the days I had shorts on.
Yep , those are good pics upsidedowner. To anyone that hasnt seen it in person, you are in for a treat. Alot of people were saying that Shockwaves hill being gone would ruin the skyline for the park, BUT, I just saw this new monster tonight and I must say it complements the skyline very nicely. It actually looks taller than the stats show.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
I was surprised at how well it filled the skyline. After looking at the construction pics of S:UF at SFGAdv, you could almost compare SFGAm's old skyline with the new skyline between GASM and S:UF right next to each other.Did everyone get what I meant above, kinda hard to explain lol.
During the winter season they replace the flag with a christmas tree shaped lighting structure. At night, its lit up with red, white , and blue lights.

I saw construction with my very own eyes when just the lift supports and station were up. Its almost about time I go and see the construction again. Ill probally go up there before the end of February and try to get an update for this site. Last time I took pics they didn't turn out good because of the sun and I couldn't post them, hopefully I have better luck next time.
When I travelled through in November I saw what was left of Shockwave. That is all that I have seen. I was heading to Kenosha Wisconsin for a cross country meet and we stopped in town at Gurnee for some more ice and for potty breaks. I really want to see this stuff... Keep the pictures coming!
