i noticed on 8/31 some "new" (maybe they're up for FF) LED lights in Demon's lift hill tunnel! They looked nice!
But I too really miss the lights in the long tunnel, and the skull lighting up and laughing
I posted that on my channel funnily enough, but yeah, hope everything else comes back before Fright Fest. Currently CGA is better than us when it comes to the effects because they have all the lights and effects working.
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back

Could still be improvement announcements. Kids zone, sure delayed. But doesn’t mean there wouldn’t be anything else announced or improved.
It's probably nothing big enough to warrant a big announcement. I'd imagine some smaller scale social media post about the 50th.
We're more likely going to find out about the in-park improvements during that one ACE event in the winter, I forget the name.
They aren’t making an announcement about park improvements. And if they did make anything about that or the 50th, it likely won’t be til NCC or sometime in the new year.
Well apparently they’ve told the Junkies what rides will be included in the kids area and not sure what else. Kinda stupid the park gatekeeps information from the public and only shares it to a cult facebook group.
I still think we might get the sky screamer from Six Flags America for 2026 and that is why there has been no announcement for anything.
Put it this way, Geauga Lake closed in September of 2007 and by spring of 2008 many of the rides had already been relocated and operational at their new home parks. Including Dominator at Kings Dominion, Thunder Hawk at Michigan's Adventure and Possessed at Dorney
Cutting CAPEX costs for 2026 makes perfect sense, because there are a lot of salvageable rides at Six Flags America and it makes financial sense to relocate those rides and market them as new attractions, rather than pay for brand new rides.

If we DO get the Skyscreamer I certainly hope it's NOT at the expense of Giant Drop! Maybe it could go where Hometown Junk Machine sits?
Single Day Ride Count Record
50 rides 8/17/2018 (Without Flash Pass - Coasters After Dark)

What's with the Hometown Fun Machine slander? also i still prefer my idea of it being a County Fair Addition as it fits that area of the park

@GreatAmericanFox - Hometown has super low capacity compared to Fiddler's Fling and it takes forever to get off that ride because it coasts to a stop. It basically does the same thing as Fiddler's does but with a much lower capacity (24 vs 50). It's probably our weakest flat ride.

No, not enough space there. They could put a Skyscreamer where Triple Play is and move Triple Play to the former Mardi Gras Hangover location.
That's alot of work, i think my idea is more logical, especially since that area in county fair by the games has alot of room, and like i said it fits thematicly

Kind of off-topic, but I'm honestly thinking about joining in the future. I don't know if you have to sign any NDAs to join, but if not, I'd join just to leak this sort of stuff and get to see what the Picnic Grove is like for once.
As for the SkyScreamer debate, I'm in favor of it being on Revolution's plot. I think it needs to be in the middle of the midway or not hidden away at least. Dumb Machine is pretty hidden away with all the trees. Sure, the SkyScreamer wouldn't be hidden, even if it was placed in that plot, but even so, I don't believe it would fit in thematically as Hometown Square mostly has small, classic family rides, not big rides that most kids would honestly be afraid of. I literally saw a small version of a SkyScreamer at a fair yesterday, so it would fit in perfectly in County Fair.
Also just wanted to throw out there that Blizzard River at SFA could fit behind Camp Cartoon if some of the Picnic Grove was sacrificed.
