Heck they might even save the 3 Front cars and Auction all the 3 Front Cars off. I know there some people who would love to have one of those in their Living Room.
That would be amazing! I bet someone will even get one and turn it into a bed...

It's about time they do something with it. It's pretty sad that another SF park doesn't want it, or is it?
Can I just take a second to point something out?
Steel is not the most expensive part of a ride's construction BY FAR. There is something else that costs a lot more to put up, and if a park doesn't think that they will have a stellar ride that can be run for years and remain very popular -- like a Tidal Wave, flat ride or whatever -- it doesn't make sense for the park to invest a ton of money in the non-steel, non-reusable parts of an installation.
Shockwave is gone not because of any accident or any consipiracies or because aliens told Wintrode to put it there or anything like that. It is gone because Whizzer is a much more popular and family friendly ride where Shockwave was not.
While it was a nice part of history while it lasted and I enjoyed it, I'm in no way sad it is gone... although I do miss ElectroShockwave around this time of year...
well the most expensive part of a coaster is realy the car. That is where all to money is spent desiging and essembling the car.
Nothing really Electro was added in front of Shockwave. Then underneath the station there were danger signs and stuff like that if I remember correctly that was about it.
Actually, RCDB had Shock Wave listed as In Storage for the past two years. There is one MAJOR inaccuracy I spotted though. Under past coasters, it lists Shock Wave as closed in 2004, when it closed two years ago.
I think the closed in 2004 may be in reference to how long it was at the park. even though it was in pieces on the hill, the coaster was still technically at the park.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.
