^ It has been like that all year (though you could only see it opening weekend). All three trains were repainted over the offseason. Before this year, train 3 had the lettering really low, while train 4 and train 5 had the lettering closer to the top.
So this really doesn't have to do much with the main topic but it is about Demon and I don't think it's worth starting a whole new topic for this question. What part of Demon uses a refreshed piece of track from Shockwave?

Certain leading scientists have theorized that the demon first waited ashore. From the dark muddy depths of the Louisiana swamp. Other researchers believe the demon was conceived in the scummy oily goo, UCK at the bottom of New York Harbor. And finally a third group has determined that the demon came from a lump of green slime. It landed in New Mexico in 1923 after an intergalactic battle. No matter, what we are really interested in is WHERE IS THE DEMON?? How did he get there? And why, why does he stay? It was approximately 9pm on a cool misty Thursday night that the demon rules and slithered into this amusement park. No one saw him at the time because he was apparently very small, something about the size of the alien. You do remember the alien? Well the demon must have a past himself. The one with the cars on this very ride for which you are standing in line. The demon stayed with the car to the top of the ride and then vanished. "Poof" into thin air, somewhere inside the vast super structure which supports it. How do we know that the demon was up there? Because the people in that car were never seen again! The demon devoured everything except for few pieces of clothing and various personal affects. The demon has repossessed so many riders that hes to large to free himself, in effect hes a monstrous animal now, and this ride is his cage. And with this dreadful fact in mind we urge you as you ride DO NOT FEED THE ANIMAL!! Rawr!!!
It's nearly impossible these days to run 3 trains on Demon to increase capacity. You really have to have a good crew that can be fast at getting people on, off, and through the turnstyle. Ever since the park changed the safety rule about guests being completely off the platform before dispatching the next train, that pretty much put a dent in the purpose of running 3 trains.
The timer is also off, and I'm not sure how long this has been but was there when I was one of the FF leads at Demon in 2007. We had a night where they decided to use all 3 trains and the line was completely full and spilling out to the midway so between Demon and Deja Vu, the area was a complete mess. Anyways, with 3 trains you were able to send the next one as soon as the previous one cleared the lift hill. We were ready, but the computer didn't actually light the dispatch/enable buttons until the previous train cleared the first loop.
The ride can be a capacity eater with 3 trains....if you can get around the operational obstacles.
