I have been in line for this so many times, and at most I have seen at least over $100 dollars in coins. At the same token I have heard many of the GP complain about losing their money. Correct me if I am wrong, but the ride safety sign does say something about securing all items including loose change, becuase you will loose it. Is this just another one of those things that people tend not to see, and then blame someone else for the loss of their money, when they are the ones at fault. In a way its an easy way for Great America to make fast money! Has anyone else heard any people complain about this? What are you opinions about it.
When I went on it, I had absolutly nothing in any pocket that was not zipped shut (well, my wallet was in a pocket with a button to keep it in.) Nothing fell out. However, my friend Paul purposely put 75 cents in his pockets, and came off with none. I don't know why or how, but the idiot of our group knew it would eat money. She was right, and I didn't tell her it was going to do that, so I guess it was a stroke of genious she rarely gets that she accurately predicted it would. And, if SFGAm does the same with SUF coins as Columbia coins, they are making no money on them, but donating them to charity.
Well, then, I feel grateful that I did secure everything... becuase, honestly, on every other coaster in the park, the sides of the seat prevent loss. I would have been embaressed if I lost my sunglasses!
I've lost keys (that really sucked) and countless coins. Now before riding S:UF, I break a quarter for 25 pennies and put them in my pockets to see how many I loose.I've heard so many people complaining about lost cell phones, keys, and coins. I have see people loose paper money and you can hear the change rattle around in the train. The ride ops are getting tired of explaining to people about putting stuff in lockers. Although I have lost some important stuff on the ride, I don't complain. You loose more stuff in your left pocket than your right and most of it falls out during the loop or inline twist. And I do hope SFGAm donates the money to charity, the manager said they find over 40 dollars a day.
Do I know You- Since a bottle of Coke and a cell phone are fairly big items, I'm guessin that they were tightly in your pocket and that's why they didn't fall out. Just a guess.
the reason why six flags has absolutley no carry ons/ storage units on S:UF is because of the capacity. They do want people to stop open a storage box and then come back. Then again they could just be lazy like with V2 it's first season with the rubber maid bins to store stuff. I have heard about a few people loosing stuff. Personally everytime my train goes into the pretzel loop i see or hear something fall. I once saw a wallet and a cell phone at the same time. I have had some change in my pockets that stayed in but i guess i'm just cool!
well ok if you think you are ready ASSUME THE POSITION!The flying position that isSuperman:Ultimate Flight
i put my glass case in my pocket, and when we went throught the pretzel loop it fell out and i caught it just in time.....i guess im just lucky!!! but they should really put a storage box up there....ther is more than enough room in that station...

Its not the room its the capicity. S:UF is allready a slow loading coaster and they dont want people having to walk across and put stuff in bins, and when the train returns they dont want people trying to get their stuff out of the bins. The reason being they can't dispatch a train if people are not outside the station. I was on viper and some boy was one step inside the station, and they hit the stop when we were 1/2 the way out of the station. So I would think they want to keep as few people in the station at one time as possible.
V2 has always had storage bins in the station, not the same kind of bin you would see on American Eagle or Raging Bull but a regular bin thats attached to the rail on the exit side.
That's nice that parks do that for riders. There are quite a few parks I've been to that don't have sufficient storage and things get lost and stolen. I guess they can still get stolen out of a bin.
i lost alot of change on S.U.F. but it was kind of funny because it was in the pretzal loop and the change was flying everywere. so theres probly some cash down there.
They purposely dont have storage bins because they want you to use the lockers that they purposely put next to S:UF so they can make more money. I hope they do donate all the money and not just say they do and dont.
when i was riding s:uf yesterday...i saw this kid's money in front of me fly everywhere on all side through the pretzel loop, that was hilarious.....but i really think they need to put bins up there....it wastes time for people to put there hats and shoes on the side, why not add a bin to hold it??? deja vu was an even slower loading coaster, yet they had bins in the station!!!

Yesterday when I was in line for it I saw a person lose a water bottle and another person lost a wallet. They lost their stuff in the in line roll. The one time I went on it some kid in front of me lost quite a bit of money and a few papers flew all over the place. The kid didnt lose the stuff in any of the inversions suprisingly.
