Deja Vu is slated to be painted this year!

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Iggy ACE on January 17th, 2005, 12:46 am
Our Gm ( forgot his name) stated at ACE's No coaster con on saturday that Vu is to be repainted this year. Also when asked asked about HH with season passes, he said SFGam passes are good at HH but when asked about other parks passes he said to watch their website in the next couple weeks and you might be pleased. Also he didn't rule out when asked if AE would be painted this year.
Waiting to fill this space with something stupid to say!

Great news, i personally like to see Eagle painted or washed, but the repaint of Vu is awesome news.

Yeah, Vu needs some fresh new paint, and I doubt they're going to change the colors.

I doubt it too. I think the colors are good how they are.

About the season passes, so now does this meen that there is no price difference between a combo pass and a SFGAm pass.

DejaVu paint is fine. It wasn't a big deal to me. American Eagle is another story though. Expect that to get paint too.

I'd also assume the same colors. Six Flags seems to like that scheme, as it was used on Ultra Twister at SFAW, and Jester at SFNO. Hey, maybe they'll even paint that attractive evac. deck too!

But if American Eagle got repainted too, that would make my day. :)
Finally Coaster Season!!

AE and DV need it most with IW right behind them.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.

No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

At No Coaster, when asked about the Eagle, Sevart said there were no plans for the ride this year. Granted, plans could change, but with a wooden coaster of that size they would need to start very soon.

I think they repainted it in the mid/late 90's. I could be wrong though.

I think it was 1993, not sure, definitely not later because I have a '93 brochure and the ride looks brand new.

They repainted it around 1997-1999., they seem to paint it around every 10 years. It looks so bad as the year after they repainted it, the bullwheel at the top of the lift on the red side got really messed up and spilled all that grease down through the lift structure.

from RED to WHITE
from BLUE to BLUE

That would look ugly. The colors it has now are perfect, no need to change them.

AE needs to look like this:

I wouldn't mind painting the hand rails Blue again though.
Top 5 wood-5-Goliath 4-Ravine Flyer II 3-Phoenix 2-Voyage 1-El Toro
Top 5 Steel- 5-Velocicoaster 4- Maverick 3- Fury 325 2-Steel Vengeance 1-X2

I hope other park passes will work at HH. Call me a trator, but I by mine at KK simply because it is closer and cheaper. I hope my plan does not back fire and I end up not being able to get into the wateraprk without paying full HH admission...
Ugh.

in my opinion there is no possible way that Deja Vu's colors could change, Dave. SF inc. has to much invested on the name, and color scheme. (now if it would just run the way its supposed to.......)

Since SFGAm/HH will be a single gate admission all season passes will work. They can't let you into one part of the park without the other.

They asked for suggestions about things in the park at the time they announced Deja Vu getting new paint. Everyone needs to suggest that AE gets new paint.

i think that Deja Vu is fine, but eagle does really need a coat of paint. Thank god they'll paint that one too.

Wasn't it supposed to get painted last offseason? (Or at least get rid of the "camouflage"?) I don't think that ever happened.

About the colors, I don't think they'd change them. We'd have the GP saying "which coaster replaced DejaVu?" Or, at least someone would.

True, but Batman is almost 13 years old. (not that it matters, people still couldn't figure it out)
