We'll it's gonna be 2005 on Saturday so I think you guys should think of the best rides of 2004. You can either post your own or vote. I wish you guys a safe, blessed, Happy New Year and I am looking foward to posting more topics in 2005.
Sincerely Sireze R. Booker P.S. this is only for Great America Rides not any other park. Sorry

I'm going to have to go with Batman, because there is still something about that coaster that I can't get enough of.
But the ride that I enjoyed the most this year surprised me. One one of my visits, we all decided to ride Rue Le Dodge. I now know what happens when you put six crazy 20year olds in bumper cars! I was laughing so hard my stomach hurt. It was just one of those moments that I'll never forget.
Batman gets my vote as it did for coaster survivor. I can't get enough of this ride in the front left seat, the zero-g roll there cannot be beaten! If you ride this thing at night in that seat you'll want to stay there all night. Not to mention the theming rocks and the soundtrack is one that cannot be beaten since the GP actually knows some of the songs that are played. Batman station karoake time!!! See how many people on one train we can get singing Kiss by a Rose, great times.
I also liked what Mr. SFGAM said earlier about the memories other rides give. When I get into Looney Tunes Lodge with a few 16 year old friends things can happen, and parents can get mad. You havnt had fun until you've barraged an irritated father with about 100 foam balls traveling at high speeds.
Top 5 wood-5-Goliath 4-Ravine Flyer II 3-Phoenix 2-Voyage 1-El Toro Top 5 Steel- 5-Velocicoaster 4- Maverick 3- Fury 325 2-Steel Vengeance 1-X2 Coaster Count: 444

We'll see how you guys bring up memories of the best coasters of 2004. I like what woodland said. Onetime I went to Great America in july for the First Time and I got on Roaring Rapids which my mom said no water rides because it wasn't hot enough. Plus I thought it was just a plain ole boat ride so me, my cousin and my friend gets on the ride and once we get off we were soaked! My mom said "I am so dissapointed in you guys! You guys went behind my back and got on the water ride!"
Me: But mom I didn't know-
Mom: Didn't know what! you knew it was a water ride! you could just look at the people and see how they were wet! Since you guys went behind my back, You cannot go get your jackets from the car!"
Me: Yes mom but we're sorry.
Mom"You ain't sorry!"
So, the first roller coaster we get on is the whizzer I give that a 1 star because it wasn't very attractive the next rollercoaster I got on is Viper I give that 4 Stars because on the on ride photo My cousin Janelle was looking bold eyed and I...we'll had my face in her coat. The next ride I got on was the Raging Bull but I got out of line because janelle keep line butting and there was this woman who said "That B***h butted me! they should have security come get her" The last ride I got on was the American Eagle i give that 10 Stars because that ride I say is the Best Ride of 2004! I love that ride!

Before this year I had, for some reason, not enjoyed batman anywhere near as thoroughly as I did this year. I rode it more than any other thing....besides triple play of course, but it had an extra burst of spunk which made it stand out in '04.
What you don't understand you can make mean anything.
All of them! Without our wonderful maintence crew, we'd be lost! Let's face it...this sf park has one of the best maintence crews that I've seen in a while. It takes a great crew like them to have the type of attractions up and running that we have. It's so easy to sometimed forget all the hard work they put in on a year round basis!

I agree... all of them!! This was the best year for me. 43 visits to SFGAM and 2 visits to SFSTL = Lots of great rides.
If I had to choose one it would probably have to be Batman. I just love building up the excitment in the batcave listening to the music and then going on such an intense ride! 2nd place would be V2 front row. I did front row for the 1st time this year and it was awesome!! Even though I had been on it before like 15-20 times front row took my breath away.
It has to be obvious what I would say. Of course, it has to be the D Vu'. Triple Play (at night definitely) would be another one because I missed it during FF.
