In 200/6!

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby T.K. on August 1st, 2004, 8:59 am
Well, when I was hopping that we wil get something in 2005. The answer is no. I wrote letter to six flags great america. they answered that,we would get something, but the attendence droped much less this year, then last year. They said that they will re-paint American Eagle, and Iron Wolf. For new roller coaster in 2006 we have to work really hard! our attendence in next year (2005) have to be much, much, much higher than in 2004. If our attendence will get really high, we could get even floorless! If we want it, we should work hard for it!.

I hope you're right!
You see I like the cubs and the white sox. If it came down to the world series I'd pick the cubs.

I can believe that. The attendance is pretty bad this year. On top of that, Triple Play, BTR, and Demon were all painted. We have five new rides, they can't sell Shockwave, a new "carousel" show, and to top it off a deal with MGM to have Stargate. I don't believe next year will be filled with anything too great. I think we have enough "greatness".

Yeah, that really make me excited to go to the park. Also, if it wasn't true, you would probably think of SFGAm as lying to you. They wouldn't say something like that if it wasn't true especially in a letter.

Attendance droped a huge number. And I can give an example on my self!. Last year I was 8 times in the park. This year only 2. I doon't have time, specialy now, because I'm remodeling my room. And even my friends. My friend Kathy she got a season pass last year. This year NO! Well I believe what they wrote to me, because I can tell on my self.

Great Example on Six Flags Fiesta Texas or Texas Fiesta whatever. They got new roller coaster in 2000, they suppost to get a new RC in 2005, but they won't Why? It's because of attendence. Six Flags Great Adventure will get similar to Top Thrill dragster in 2005, because their attendence raised- up. This is not a rumor, check at http://www.rcdb.com - go to new in 2005

Why would SF tell you anything? Why would they actually say, "Yes. we are getting a coaster next year", to a member of the GP?!?!?! (Yes, face ti we are considered the general public, in their eyes.) Face it, they would not tell anybody what they are getting next year. You people need to wise up.

The season isn't even over yet! Attendance is down because you have gone only 2 times this year instead of 8?

Come on guys! We need to work really hard. To do what? Increase attendance? It's not our priority to do so.

Yeah, but think about it....sf is losing money everytime a season pass holder is entering the park. They don't care about us...they want the gp and families who will spend the majority of the money on an average day.

Hello, common sense? They don't loose money off season pass people going a lot . It raises their attendance. Also, season pass holders spend money on food and other junk too, and the pass is designed to make people that would come 1-2x come 3-4 so if they lost money off of it, they wouldn't offer it .

Dude why do you want a floorless???? They arent that great. They were cool before, but theres better stuff out there. If they built one, you will see that it is nothing more than a fast and reliable coaster to operate and to draw people to the park, but is extremely overprice and the floor dropping technology will get old quickly, just as superman did, and will have very short lines after the first season. People dont even like screm at magic mountian. We need something with a huge launch or some tunnels, or a cross between a 4d and a launch. S&S is allready developing a ride system like that.

Who's we? You don't need to lecture us on what GAm needs to get, S:UF is still bringing people in (notice: it always has the longest line in the park). Also, Scream! was poorly constructed, dropped pieces of track, lack of any type of setting, and overall rougher than most coasters that are made by B&M. And if they did build it you'd go ride it.

DUDE. Raising attendance doesnt equal money. They dont get a 40 dollar bonus every time a teenager walks in the park for free. If a person who came 10 times with a season pass didnt have one and only came 5 times a year, they would make twice as much just off of admition. We rip the park off so much. I think they need to up the price on the season passes so they can add better rides and save/make more money.
