 I can not believe that they would take down such a wonderful ride it was the best :!: I almost started to cry when i drove past Sixflags Great America and saw shock wave gone! Six flags looks stupid without shockwave Way up there in the sky breaking the horizon!but now its gone and I would have to say my its still my favorite but, out of the rollercoasters I can still ride it would have to be Deja Vu.

Get over it people. It's gone, not comming back, and good ridance. Want to ride it? Goto New Jersey or California, they have near-clones, especially in New Jersey. It was a 80s POS for crying out loud!

Well I guess this confirms im crazy...I don't understand why though I found Shockwave to be smoother in the back and therefor always rode back there. Not to mention you get to feel the G's the most in the back seat. I still remember my last ride on Shockwave, I was trying to show Suf03Sfgam how to ride it without hittting his head. It was great seeing him smack his head against the harness going into the MCBR.....ahhh memories :)

It was really sad to see Shockwave go but I'm over that now. I liked it in the back the best, though I've only ridden it once and that was even my last time on Shockwave. I didn't find it rough at all in the back. As Travis said, there are two other near-clones, so go out and ride those if you miss Shockwave so much.

Whizzer sucks????Step off the "its all about me" mentality and realize that this coaster makes adults and little kids smile after they ride it. No other coaster in the park can do that. This is a coaster Marriott had constructed when he opened this park. Show some respect and realize if it wasnt for Marriott, we wouldnt have a SFGAm today.

whizzer is the last of the swartzcough (i know that's not the spelling) sprial lift coasters in america, plus its the only coaster in sfga you can ride w/o a restrant, but is definetly not the best coaster there (no deja vu rides in 2002 season)

Yeah, most of the people that complain about whizzer are people who never ride it. Whizzer is an exciting ride... If some people would take the time to ride it they would realize it too.

Shockwave was a good ride but I never grew to love it. I have been on it like 10 times. But I wish they would have taken out the whizzer because shockwave looked so good in Great America's skyline. But what can you do? My favorite ride is Déjà Vu and Ragging Bull and V² are in a very close second.

A coaster that can make kids and adults smile is Spacely Sproket Rocket. I do ride Whizzer and its not fun, Shockwave is a much better ride and should've stayed.

And I know you guys wont be female dogging about ShockWave or a clone once you ride Superman!!!!! You will probally forget it or Think that your glad that they took down a non themed coaster for (hopefully) a nicely themed coaster that You fly on. I Wouldve given up shockwave anyday for a Flier!!!! :D

All the time I rode it they didn't enforce it but if theres a line they will. Ask coasterdude316 we rode it and made kid faces at the camera :) I wanted to buy his and put it on the site. It was so funny:). Maybe one day we will crack out the story about the Demon :) (you know what im talking about dave? If so do you still have the pic :))

What dave means by stalkers is those little 12-16 yr. old girls (no offence Amber) that follow you around cause they like you or something... SSR is the best way to loose them you might want to try it sometime :)

It just show's your a loser if you ride Spaceley and you're over the age of 12, without a child. I know I won't be riding it for probably 6 or 7 years, because right now I don't have a little kid to take on it, but then I'll have my neice, so I'll have an excuse, other than "I want to increase my count... err... I mean lose stalkers!"I'll write a short little FAQ about how to lose stalkers at SFGAm:Q: How do I lose a stalker?A: There are a couple ways. You could go to the nearest arcade and get on a DDR macine. Dance like a fool, it should scare the person away. Also, try going to the nearest restroom. Most likely it is a stalker of the opposite sex, so you can easily sneak out of there. Finally, be stupid, and start acting lost, every few 100 yards, turn around. If that doesn't stop them, start asking where Rolling Thunder, Shockwave, Tidal Wave, Z-Force, or any other defunct coaster is.

People who say Whizzer sucks are hypocrites. Sure, they'll say it sucks, but force them to go on it, and I guarentee they come off with that blackhead smile (Schwarzkopf translated to English means blackhead, you know  )Those of you who are complaining about getting a clone. Wake up morons, we got rid of a clone, so what does it matter? The only differences are the new one will be less painful, and is not the original. Also, if I offended you by calling you a moron, so what? It's only true when you are talking about the Whizzer. Saying it sucks and should be torn down is like saying we should burn the Decleration of Independence. Whizzer is to SFGAm as DoI is to America.

I agree with Travis 100%. I actually used to think the Whizzer sucked. But, the other day when I was thinking about how fun it was riding it, I realized I didn't really hate it. Whizzer isn't the best ride in the park, but it is still a really good ride. Last time I went on Whizzer (which I thought was gonna be my last time on it) I had fun, and after we found out it wasn't being taken down, I thought of never riding it again since it was so boring, but now I've changed my mind. Maybe I'll ride it again next time I visit the park.

And now that we have that out of the way "P. Diddy" errrr I mean "T. Biggs" :lol:The first person to say that the Demon should go along with the Whizzer is going to feel the wrath. :x SO DONT GO THERE!!!!!!!!
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Demon shouldn't go either. I love that ride. I don't ride it much cause I'm so busy riding all the other coasters, but I still like it a lot. It's a good roller coaster, I've even seen little kids going on it, I felt happy for them. In my opinion, Demon is nicely themed, and the layout is good.

First off Travis im not a loser and I don't care what you think, I go to Amusement parks to have fun. Don't knock spacleys until you have rode it. Its a fun ride with some strong laterals and the best on ride photo. :D Plus Spacleys is ahead in ride technology...what other coaster at Six Flags Great America plays music as you dispatch from the station :lol:And about your way to lose Stalkers...why ask where Tidal Wave or Rolling Thunder is? If they aren't enthusiasts they probally wouldn't even know what those rides where. Instead I go around asking where I can find the big mouse with the big ears. Confuses alot of people and is great entertainment. :lol:Dave --- Who likes to go to amusement parks to have a good time.
