Hey everyone,
I don't know if this has ever been brought up, but how old were you when you first started going to Six Flags. What was your first rollercoaster there? What did you think??

I'll start. My first time there was when I was eleven for a thing called Music in the Parks where we competed in band and then went to Six flags for the day. I rode the Whizzer first, that's actually the only rollercoaster I rode, i was too scared for the others. I thought it was fun, but I wanted to try bigger things, though I was scared....

I was 10 when I first took a trip to SFGAm. My first coaster there was Spacely's, and that was enough for me at the time. I was scared whenever I rode it, but still wanted to keep going on it because it was fun. It took some time before I really got into coasters because I was always so scared to ride them.

I know I went to the park before I could remember all this stuff (I have a bad long term memory, guess I've just been hit too many times.) but the first coasters I remember were the Whizzer, American Eagle, and Viper. I had no problem with these rides because they did not go upside down. I also remember my Dad losing his favorite sunglasses on Viper because clearly we didn't know it was an airtime machine back then. (I believe I was in 1st grade) Anyways near to park closing my Dad forced me on Demon and I was scared because it went upside down but I had a great time and yeah, I've always loved coasters since.

Of course my first was Whizzer, every year our neighborhood would take a trip to SFGAM. It took a few more years before I went on Demon thoguh
I'd rather be riding the Voyage

My 1st ride was Demon when I was 5. I was actually OK with that ride but then my dad tried to push his luck and made me go on Eagle and I so very clearly remember crying the WHOLE way up the lift and after the 1st drop I was OK. My love was found. Coasters.

I can recall my first rollercoaster, but not my first flat. My first coaster was Whizzer. Then the Pepsi Ripsaw at the Mall of America, followed by Demon, Viper, American Eagle, Batman, Shockwave, and so on.

Most of the flats I rode in the park as a miniature were the kiddie rides, and Fiddlers Fling, East River Crawler, and most of the kiddie rides which are currently in the park. And that's all I can recall. Oh yes, the carousel.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.

Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."

Wow, the first time I went to SFGAm was in 1999, for my 8th grade band trip. I think the first ride we rode was Sky Trek Tower. Prior to SFGAm, I had been to PKI, so big coasters didn't scare me unless they had loops.

The first coaster I ever rode at GAm(which is also the first and only time I've ever been stuck on a coaster) was the Whizzer. We sat at the top of the lift for over 20 minutes(with a storm coming). After walking around all day, hitting up some of the flats, I finally got up the gumption to ride Demon. I thought I was going to puke going up the lift. I was so scared of going upside down. After riding(and loving it), I adopted that "You show me the coaster, and I'll get right on it!" attitude. :D
Finally Coaster Season!!
