Restrant Issue on Raging Bull

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

As we all should know by now, I was the one who said, "Back Row on Viper + ejector airtime + loose seatbelt = WHEEE!!!! " And I apologize for any problems this may have caused for this site, and to any members of it. And if what I said was truely the reason why Six Flags and Cedar Fair made that statement, I also apologize for that. Once again, I apologize for any problems this may have caused the site, the mebers, or anybody else.

Sincerely,

No, sorry. That wasn't made because of you. That was made because an enthusiast that was "enhancing" their experience on Raven by riding without a seat belt while standing up was ejected from the ride and died. The person who made that statement was Will Koch of Holiday World, and shortly thereafter both Cedar Fair and Six Flags, Inc. had made statements along the same idea.

The truth is, and something a lot of enthusiasts don't seem to realize is that the forces for a ride are the exact same whether you are stapled to it or not. Being stapled to a ride may be less comfortable, but riding with the harnesses extremely loose can put you and others in danger, and it simply shouldn't be done. Personally, I think that a ride like Raging Bull is more fun with the harness down closer because you can really feel the forces against it, and out of respect for the parks people that go there often especially should be better at knowing how the harnesses work and then abiding by the rules.

That's all. Sorry for the confusion.

*** I edited the original post for clarity so that people weren't confused. Sorry again. ***

And no, they won't do anything to those rides just because they have one problem.
