First post since 2006(can't believe I remembered my password!). Jumped on the current deal for pass memberships. Just have a few questions to get caught up on.
With the park opening at 11am for fright fest, what time does the parking lot open?
Got a 2 year old doing his first trip. He turns 3 before the end of next season. What is our best deal to get him a pass after turning 3? I thought of getting him in free and "upgrade" to a pass in the spring. Btw what is the current upgrade price?
How does fright fest compare to years past now that it is all done in house?
^ Yeah I'm buying my pass online within the next few days then will get it when I go on the 26. I mainly doing it for the free gold pass upgrade because I did the four pass deal and that didn't work out so well.

Unless you're just being incredibly honest, or he looks really old or something, I probably wouldn't bother and just say that he's 2, they aren't going to check.
I think the current upgrade price is $29.99, but that may change (and I don't know if what you're saying will work, because I think they require proof of purchase to upgrade).

You might be right on that. A month or two isn't gonna change much.
I did think of another couple questions on entering the park:
What are the normal busy times at the parking lot entrance?
How often have then been using the Washington Street entrance and how are the waits compared to the main entrance?

I think it's always open these days (at least I haven't seen it closed in a while). I think it tends to be shorter, but I've never done it on a really busy day. (And pretty much all of Fright Fest qualifies as busy days)
How were the lines for pass processing this weekend? I wish six flags would spell out the in park discounts that come with the passes. I saw the list of admission discounts(not helpful this year) but I'm curious if they still do food, flash pass, merch etc.. discounts that used to be in the book. I assume all discounts are accessible via a smartphone app in park?
Jodon wrote:^ I had a buddy at the park yesterday who went to process his pass and he said the line to process the pass was awful and took about 75 minutes.
To process a new season pass, don't you just proceed to any turnstile and they print out your pass right there? Do you have to do anything else to get your gold pass upgrade added (with passes purchased during Labor Day sale)
Just wondering why there was a 75 minute line for just passes. My thrill pass I bought this year seemed to add about 30 more seconds to the process of entering the park.
I got a Gold pass this weekend and processed it at the gate, no line no problem. I think you might need to go to pass processing if you are doing the Dining pass, though.
Also, they handed me a little booklet with all the discounts (which they used to do, but I think didn't do last year). If I can find where I put it maybe I can scan it later. They should all be online too, but I'm not sure the portal is working for 2016 yet. And, yes, they still basically have all the discounts they always have.

We didn't do the dining pass but we did do the shopping pass(was I a sucker for buying that?)
If you get a chance to scan it great. The online site for passholders only works after to process your pass apparently. I tried with the account number from the email with no luck.

If you're going to spend more than $100 on merchandise, the shopping pass is good value. I think the season dining pass is the best value they offer, though I live minutes from the park, so we use our dining pass ALOT. The only downside to the dining pass is that the employees aren't trained or able to handle the volume generated by these passes. That means really long lines in the early months of the season - up to a 30 minute wait just for a piece of pizza at times. Otherwise, if you're going to visit the park eight or more times, I highly recommend season dining.
