The image I have of Great America is one of the park from the 90s, when you’d walk in and the first thing you’d hear is, “The Entertainer, “ being played. In fact, every area had its own themed music, not this pop/dance mix we hear all day (I especially enjoyed Southwest Territory’s twangy bluegrass). I remember the restaurants, how each one was different from one another-unlike today, where EVERY pizza place is a Papa John’s. I remember how getting there early meant you could usually ride a number of rides right away, and staying late meant you could ride over and over again as the crowds thinned out. I remember that old recording studio, where my friends and I used to record terrible karaoke versions of Offspring songs. I even remember the old TVs they had in the cueing lines, which would show Looney Tunes shorts and the occasional Alanis Morisette video. Anyone else remember this? More importantly, anyone think the park has even the slightest chance of reclaiming this image? Reminisce here!
Admittedly, while I've probably only spent about 10 hours max at the park in the past 3 or 4 years, I was under the impression that the music from the '90s/early 2000s was being reintegrated into the park soundtrack- and I was very excited to hear that. Really unfortunate to find out that this might not have been the case.
Right after Shapiro left the company, and Webber became the temporary CEO, that's when the original music came back. I remember when that happened, all the pop/dance music ended I was like THANK GOD! It's finally over! lol. There's an old saying, if it aint broke, don't fix it! That Marriots music for each themed area is a staple of the park, and it just didn't feel the same when it was gone.
Because they are the "cleanest park in the world". (That's ridiculous. I don't mean to hate. But disney has trash cans no more than 75 feet away from eachother)

Kings Island is a Cedar Fair park and one of the dirtiest parks i have been to in a long while!
Great American has been slowly losing its magic, but recently it has become so much worse!
The first mistake was ANY superhero themed ride. Totally out of theme in any area!
Yukon Territory is like a parking lot now that they ripped out the nice themed buildings and little creek and put in that go kart track and the Little Dipper.
County Fair is a freaking nightmare! Bucaneer Battle, the futuristic X Flight, the Roman Goliath theming have nothing to do with the area!
Hometown Square is miserable looking now with all the trees removed in the plaza replaced by concrete.
Landscaping is virtually non-existant in the park outside of the relfecting pool.
This park has one of the best coaster & flat ride lineups anywhere, but they are ingoring the details that make a special experience outside of the rides. This year, i felt when i was at Great America, it was better just not to look around the park and look at the rides because everything else is so neglected.
