Other Six Flags Park Gold Season Pass Discounts at SFGam

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I am a Six Flags America (ohhh yeah the worst of the lot) Gold Pass Holder and I am heading to your beautiful park for the first time July 2nd. Does anyone know of any at-gate discounts or other deals, aside from free parking, that my Gold Pass will provide. This new online benefits page tied to my card seems to indicate all the deals are pegged to my home park in Washington DC.

Specifically, if I had a friend meet me from Chicago does anyone know of discounts I would be able to use at the gate for his ticket?

Those of you who have gone to the park since the BIG ONE opened last week, do I need a Flash Pass to hit all the coasters in a reasonable amount of time? I will be at the park by 1030am.

Thanks for any help and congrats on a great community here! :D

I am tempted. I was at Magic Mountain for a weekday in May and planned to do the same but was pleasantly surprised when almost all the rides were walk-on. The longest wait for a coaster was about 10 minutes. Hoping for some mid-weekday pre-holiday luck in the crowd department.

Obviously you park and get in for free but i believe anything else is tied to your home park. Otherwise the cheapest option I've heard of is for your friend to buy admission in advance at a Jewell store in the Chicago area. That seems to be a cheaper option than even the online price through the park website.

Someone else more "local" than me might have a better answer.

Flashpass might be an OK idea, albeit a pricey one. I'm really not sure how midweek crowds are since I'm rarely there during the week. You can purchase those in advance online. Be aware, you have to buy Platinum Flashpass to use it on Goliath though. All the other available rides are covered by a tier less than platinum.

Others may have other ideas. Hope you have a great time!

It won't be walk on line's in July and I don't see Goliath's line going under 2hr any time soon. I have been to Kings Island and Cedar Point this year and always get the flash plus. Just to have a more enjoyable experience.

I may do a 1 person (or 2 if my buddy joins) Gold Pass and endure the Goliath 2 hour wait right off the bat and go on shorter lines while the flash pass time ticks down. Does SFGam Flash Pass access get you RIGHT to the front of lines or simply a cut in to the place further along the queue line (e.g. Millennium Force puts you at the bottom the ramp leading to the queue house)?

Most are like millennium force. Whizzer, demon, and superman basically drop you off right at the station. Some flash pass people are great at holding up the line which gets flash passers on quicker
