I thought we could use some discussion other than Goliath for a bit. I know each side of AE used to run 3 trains. I was wondering what happened to the 3rd train for each side? I know it's pretty rare for parks to just scrap trains even if they are not being used. I've seen Gemini's (from CP) 3rd trains for each side in different storage spots over the years and I believe that (at one point at least) Mantis from CP also had a third train that was sitting in storage near the ride itself. Always nice to have a spare in case something bad goes wrong. One of my theories is that since Viper is a coaster that was manufactured by Six Flags themselves, maybe they saved themselves some trouble by putting 2 of AE's trains to run on Viper. To me they look to be the exact same model of cars, but I could be wrong. So are the trains in storage, running on Viper or were they just scrapped? I'm sure someone somewhere knows for sure.
American Eagle does rotating rehabs. The 3rd train for each side gets rehabbed during the season and then over the winter Maintenance only has to work on one train per side. For example lets say this year Red side is running trains 1 and 3 with Train 2 in rehab, next year would be trains 1 and 2 with train 3 in rehab, and then trains 2 and 3 with train 1 in rehab the following year.
Not AE related, but still related to the topic, does anyone know where the Blue RB train is currently? I was in the park last Sunday and there was no evidence of the blue train anywhere by RB. Are they still doing maintenance on the train?

Raging Bull does something similar as Eagle mentioned above. Only one train stays at the ride over the winter..... Which train is different every year. The other two get rehab. The third train should be ready by mid June as usual.
