Yes, Their is also 2 others that i know of x-flight SfWoA and Batwing Sf America. Borg Assimilator used to be at Paramount Great America but they relocated it to make room for their new water park
Does anyone know why the took the covers off the wheels on one of the batman trains. I.E if you look on the homepage of this website Batmans wheels on the train are bare where as the other trains have the grey cover with the red dot
Not sure why they removed the covers. They weren't on the trains for part of the beginning of the 2003 season and they were all put on sometime in late May.
During the 2002 season 1 Batman train had all it's wheel covers on, while the other had no wheel covers on. That's why some pictures the train has wheel covers on it, and others it doesn't...they are 2 different trains. They didn't get all the wheel covers on until late may of last season like Amber said.

Random guess, but I know they are a pain in the @$$ and break and come off fairly frequently, I bet they left one train without the covers in 02 to see if anyone noticed (as if no one notices the difference why bother putting out the $$$ to keep them there). Though sometime in 2003 they were all put back. Either people did notice or there were other reasons (train without the covers did look really odd though, I called it the naked train the entire season)

Yea, I remember Wheel covers last year in May sitting in the Transfer Track Building. They looked new or newly painted. So either they broke and they got new ones or they just painted the old ones.
You wouldnt believe what SFGAm tries to paint in an effort to extend the cosmetic life of certain stuff, plastic or not. The Lap bar Pads on RB are painted occasionally(usually to cover up grafitti, also it's a special paint), SFGAm tends to paint stuff that's usually to soft to work well with regular paint, like Lapbar and OTSR padding, looks nice at first, til it all starts peeling off
I remember Demon a few years ago(time flies may have been longer, I know it was back in the 90's), before it got all new OTSR's, the old OTSR's were really burried under so many layers of paint and the huge handles instead of orange foam padding some had an orange tinted piece of garden hose. Good way to tell if the current OTSR's are painted are if it's bright orange, like a neon orange, thats' original Ralph Alberts Ride Hyde x3, if it's a darker orange it's probably a SFGAm paint job

Carlo
I remember that as well, they were sitting on a sheet or something, and there was paint on the sheet as if they were just sprayed.

Speaking of Paint.... Does anyone know if they started painting the track and such yet? They were supposed to start in March along with the construction of everything else.
However, I won't be suprised if the majority of the new rides aren't open May 1st. It'll be a crunch of time to get things done if they don't start soon!

Yeah, it has to be forcasted to stay above freezing for a certain amount of time after the paint is applied(probably a day or 2), and rain doesnt help either, and with the weather we've been having lately, I dont see how SFGAm woudl have started painting yet. I have heard though that the entire park was being powerwashed last week, I'd assume they at least got a start on washing Demon and BTR when they did the rest of the place. I'd expect painting to start in early April unless it warms up in a big hurry.
