The Flash Pass and Fright Fest hours.

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

First on the Flash Pass. I was checking out the park map and noticed that FP was being used for rides like Rue Le Dodge and East River Crawler but wasn't used for Batman The Ride. Is this true? If so, that is weird.

The Saturday hours for Fright Fest 2014 will have it open until midnight. I believe this will be the first time that this park has ever been open this late.

Correct me if I am wrong.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Flash Pass is on Batman. East River Crawler does not have Flash Pass.

So Goliath is only on Platinum, as expected. I guess I have noticed it before but X-Flight is on regular. I've seen other parks do it but Can you order a Flash Pass to SFGAm online? I'm just wondering because I'm considering getting one for Fright Fest this year. Also, not helping my case is I don't have a credit card and don't want to miss the rush in the morning. So would I have to bring like $150 cash with me to the park?

It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle :?
Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? :P

Yes, you can buy a Flash Pass online for SFGAm.
However, the Flash Pass isn't available to purchase online yet.
The official SFGAm site says "soon".

Then they screwed up on the park map. At least the one they are showing online.

You are wrong the park has been open until midnight for a few fright fests back in like 2005 or 2006/7/8. They are bringing it back which is fun because the park will be open 13 hours. As for the FP you don't need a cred vard unless buying it online you can pay cash all you need is a driver's license/photo ID/passport to get the transponder. If you plan on leaving the park for any reason you will need to go to FP processing and return it then come back to get it.

What were the prices for the Flash Pass last year?
For 1 person. I intend to get one at least once or twice during the 2014 season for myself.

Regular: $?
Gold: $?
Platinum: $?

it's worth noting also that the prices vary depending on the day, prices go up on traditionally busy days, I.E. Saturdays

^ Is that only when you buy in the park though? Because right now buying a Flash Pass online costs the same for a weekday in May and a Saturday in July.

not positive, never bought a Flash Pass period, but I think you avoid the up-charge online. Of course there is risk to buying the flash pass online ahead of time, You can show up and find crappy weather and be stuck with a utterly useless flash pass when all rides are walkon.

For something like this I feel its best to get to the park and do it there. especially during FF when the weather is a wild card.

How often does the park run out of Flash Passes? Other than FF, the few days surrounding July 4th, and the end of the Read to Succeed promo....have they ever turned people away?

The line typically looks long but the majority of the people that are waiting have usually pre-purchased it online and the park guarantees your reservation as long as you pick it up right away.

As for operating hours, I wouldn't be surprised if they cut off ride lines early so that operations would end well before midnight. If attraction is open past midnight, would it be considered a new day and the ride/attraction would have to again go through the daily required maintenance checks and inspections? Not sure how that actually works or what the state regulations would be.
