Secrets in 2004 at SFGAm

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby TonyMichaud on March 7th, 2004, 7:22 pm
Just thought I’d let everyone in on some news I heard from a very close friend who works at SFGAm… I briefy discussed construction news and if everything was on schedule or if there had been any problems with things… He said that everything was going fine, and that there are 2 things lined up that the public does not know about. Well I immediately wanted to know what he meant by that, but he said he couldn’t come out with it yet. I tried for awhile but he refused to disclose the information I wanted.

I asked him if the news was BIG news or if it was MEDIUM news or if it was SMALL news, and he replied it was MEDIUM news. To me MEDIUM news is more than just some signs or new looks to old things, but nowhere near LARGE like a surprise attraction or something like that… So, I am not going to start a rumor of false info on my behalf so I will simply say that was shouldn’t get our hopes up, because if it was something big we’d know about it already… I think my friend is trying to make a new thing we don’t know about sound more appealing by not telling me and letting it build in my mind, and of course I had to tell you all about it because I feel there is some hard working employees in this forum of SFGAm and they too may know this information, or if it’s a joke and I am being taken for a ride. Don’t get me wrong, my friend isn’t the type to lie or mislead me, and I too am not doing that to any of you.

Rest assured that I will continue the fight to find out what these mystery things are and will report ASAP after obtaining the information… If anyone has connections to employees or who are employees might you know what I am talking about?

Until the next entry, let’s try and figure this out before Opening Day, because I can’t wait that long to find out, besides I will be severly let down if it’s something stupid. Let’s figure this out before the rumors start flowing in with people saying “THE FLOORLESS COASTER IS COMING!!!” We all know that is not happening… At least for yearS.

Look for a new quiz within the next weeks, and I remind you that you can vote for the poll once a day. Call me weird or crazy, but I like to see what people think is the best coaster, and what they’d choose to ride immediately to kick off their opening day 2004.

I'm not surprised that there are things we don't know about. I am surprised about your reaction. A Medium sized rumor to the non-enthusist world, is nothing thry care about. So it might be a new parade float for mardi gras. Or them re-routing the parade, because of the repavement. But nothing big. Or it could be they are re-naming an attraction. Or keeping ice mountain splash open all the time. It could be a new motion sim in space shuttle america. Or maybe they had to move frenchy's or somthing becuase it interfeared with construction.

I doubt it's anything big. Or even semi-big. I could also be way off. But that's what i think.

I doubt my friend would of said anything if it was stupid... Let's not completely shoot this down... He knows I am an Enthusiast, I am proud to be an ACER... I have confidence that he isn't being stupid and that it will be something we all will love...

All I know is that I have posted 2 things and both times almost immediately I am pretty much told I was either wrong, or stupid for the comments I make... Maybe I should keep my mouth shut.

I was agreeing with you!

WTF

I was just saying that some new peeps have a tendency to "Know Everything" And it's really annoying. Sure, i haven't been on this site for years but it's only been open since what, last december. And i've been reading them the whole time. And i've been on coasterbuzz for a few years. You have to say everything very carefully as to not offend everyone. Because i've learned the hard way that people get offended very easily on these and other coaster/amusement park boards.

And i was agreeing with you.

And there is always going to be the person who takes everything the wrong way. Then they will nag you, (Not you personally, you the whole) about your spelling and grammer. While not spelling anything right themselves.

Okay, i'm done ranting. Continue chatting.

It's all good man, no harm no foul. But regardless, even if Mayor Slayer would be getting a wife to accompany him for Fright Fest, I wanna know! There isn't news not talking about.. big or small I wanna know!

I agree with you on that aspect, that it wont be big... But I am still curious.

Um . . .Just so you know. He's not. I know that just came out of nowhere, but you can find a list of the creature crew at the JPM Website. and it's already done for this year, since early auditions are over with. It's basically the same as last year except they took away a lot of the Necropolis characters and added the ??? Jump and scare peeps.

Thats the URL. There are just a few minor changes.

Wow, I say that site last year around Fright Fest 2003, but to already be done for FF 2004 is amazing! I know Mayor Slayer isn't getting a wife, I think she's dead? :D Ok, that was a horrible joke...

Only moderators can lock it.

We can wait. I'm sure it's nothing big.

Tony.

I know you have good intentions with this post but 2 things cause it to be locked.

1. Your friend really shouldn't be telling you things that the park doesn't want released. If he does tell you , you already stated you would pass it along here.

2. On coaster enthusiast boards, rumors start flying with topics like this.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
