Does anyone know when SF started manually filtering people into the stations using an employee? The first ride I ever noticed this on was Superman, and that was quite a while ago. Now they do it with most of the rides.

Was this change only because of Flash Pass? I thought Flash Pass existed before they implemented the changes though, no? Or did it have anything to do with crowded stations?

Besides the history lesson, I brought this up because yesterday while waiting in line for Demon, the employee was holding up the line too long, and she was letting trains go with multiple empty rows. Because of her incompetence, my brother and I got to re-ride (at at time when the line was pretty full, for Demon, and it was 30 minutes before closing, so I think efficiency is pretty important at this point).

It's about the Flash Pass - to hold up the line. It's on about every roller coaster. They have been doing this awhile.
