Repainted Sky Whirl Cabins for Fright Fest

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Iron Wolf 90-11 on September 12th, 2012, 4:53 pm
Six Flags Great America tweeted "Look what we found getting a fresh coat of paint! Wonder what they could be using these for #FrightFest?" and the picture of the repainted Sky Whirl Cabins. I remember from previous years that they were painted green. I wonder where and what they will be used for this year since it looks like they got repainted their original colors Does anybody know or have any guesses of where and what they'll be used for.

Looks like the "Six Saint's Cemetery" ride graveyard is getting expanded. Can't think of any other reason to repaint them in the original colors.

After thinking Six Saints Cemetery is the only place that I could see them going with the original colors.

They could be used as a prop for like a "ride gone wrong" sort of deal, but that doesn't explain why they repainted them. If the ride cemetery is being expanded, then great news. I always thought it would be cool to have a guided maze with a guide telling you about each ride.

Best 2013 Moment: "I came here for Auntie Anne's pretzels and coasters......in that order!"

^Although the walkthrough with a guide would be greatand cool, I don't see Six Flags doing that at all....let alone during Fright Fest. Most likely it will be in the same spot, but made a few feet larger. I could be wrong, who knows. But that's my guess!

I think it would be cooler if they stuck a scare actor or 2 in those...kind of just crouch and then jump up and scare those nearby hehe.

^ That sounds like a great idea. I think it would be really fun to watch people get scared from those actors.

I bet they will be used in Deadline (the walk-thru part where IW was) since it's supposed to look like an old theme park overtaken by zombies. They can place them along the path and have actors inside.

Hopefully there will be pictures of that in the park's Monday Facebook update. I've heard they've been working on the Iron Wolf part this past week.

From what I've heard, this has to do with the IW walkthrough:
