X-Flight NOT in Operation Since Monday(8/20/12)

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby MikeRollerCoaster on August 21st, 2012, 4:21 pm
I am going to Six Flags Great America tomarrow(8/22/12) and if X-Flight has been closed since Monday(8/20/12) then I have NO doubt in my mind that X-Flight WILL NOT OPEN TOMORROW! I am EXTREAMLY MAD/SAD that X-Flight will most likley NOT OPERATE tomarrow when I am there! X-Flight is by far the BEST ride @ the whole park! I have already been on it like 18times and I have NEVER gotten board of it! I WISH i could NOT go tomarrow when the ride is/will be closed and go when its open/operating! I will DEFINENTLY be up ALL night praying to God that it will open! Call me CRAZY but if its NOT open tomarrow, I will PROBABLY shed a few tears (I know that sounds EXTREAMLY MESSED UP!) and I will PROBABLY LEAVE the park!!

I can't comment about X-Flight as I haven't been to the park in a few weeks, but this might help you: http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Book-Grammar ... unctuation

Than, don't go tomorrow. Plan your trip for another day when you think that X-Flight will be open. It's easy as that especially that you know it's not open.

Candy: What you lookin' at?

Candy: Yeah, you see something you like?
Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.

^ Issues with the lift motor. Not sure exactly what the cause was, but the symptoms were trains slowing down, speeding up, and stopping at random while going up the lift.

It opened somewhere around 2 hours after the park opened. Before that, it was just testing a lot. I didn't get to the park right on time - 30 minutes late, but I just seen it testing till about 12 pm.

Probably the lift motor was losing torque.

I was there today and it was working fine a couple of rows were blockoff wasnt paying attention dont know which one. All the big rides were running. Eagle blue is closed. The park wasnt that busy most rides were 15 minutes or less. No advertising for 2013 attraction unveiling no pictures of crates either no markers inside the park either. A lot of crates were scattered all over though by superman, green one behind pictorium a bunch of them by eagle and southwest territory probly all just being used by the park for storage not for new ride. Saw a couple of gurnee public works truck heading toward GA or milwaukee ave probly only fixing the roads hmm could the attraction be over 125ft or maybe theyre just fixing the sewer line who knows well find out on the 30th.

^Those are probably Fright Fest stuff. By Batman the Ride, a crate said something like explosives. That would be a weird Fright Fest area thing though. I don't know.

Edit: I have a feeling that the explosives are probably real, and I would think they might use them for the PR presentation. Last year, they did something with X-Flight - small stuff.

I saw that explosives crate too but earlier in the season in the same spot. I think it is just a prop.
